AAA Tempe Auto Repair Center

I love this shop. I've been to a other mechanics shop in the Tempe area and I prefer this one by far. I love that i can take my car in for a specific diag but they also take the time to give my vehicle a once over, I sure the hell ain't crawling in my engine bay or under my car to see what's what. I wouldn't even know what im looking at. They called and were clear on what the issue was, what was needed to complete the repair and then what was needed to test the engine to make sure it was up to par. Everything was easy to understand and they even provided a report or items that needed taken care of (when I was ready to do them). This shop has excellent communication, they're clean, fast, friendly and amazing customer service. I definitely trust them with my car and my son's car. I highly recommend this shop!

Nice guys but now I have to do a bunch of work figuring out what happened to my vehicle performance / options are of course waste more time rather than it just being fixed and feeling good about patronizing a AAA affiliated site. I'll address it w/bank, dealership, and AAA complaint/claim (as explained by Customer Care); I am not comfortable returning to this location. Today I deemed it unsafe to drive / twice I lost acceleration while in motion on the road. As this has occurred same day/day after -- I an left to believe it is something related to the fix on the evap leak, as you already know. Resolution pending I hope. Thank you for your attempt but it was not done satisfactorily -- the vehicle is driving worse than when I brought it in.

Matt went above and beyond all customer service needs and expectations! I didn’t even have to ask him about my maintenance schedule. By the time the vehicle was finished he was already going over the inspection with me. Very well done!

Days after the (5-star) posting below, our van broke down again (w/the same issue). AAA said it was a different issue (a second mechanic challenged that assumption), they charged us $91 for that diagnosis (that conveniently meant they didn't have to refix it for free), and quoted us $700 to refix the engine. We declined and instead bought the part for ~$100, and had our mechanic brother install it in 1 hour. Do that math - they quoted us $600 for less than an hour of work (to fix a problem we'd paid them to fix 3 days ago). Previous Review: I'm not an AAA Member, but the quality and speed of service at this location has me questioning that decision. They were SO helpful, and actually had our car back (fixed) two days earlier than they originally thought possible (due to the predicted delivery time of a required part); and they charged us less than they quoted us (believe it or not, they quoted us for a part that, after talking to us, they were able to obtain for less shipping costs, and they passed the savings onto us). Nobody expects that this type of experience (faster and cheaper than quoted) would happen daily - but the experience of honesty was refreshing, and welcomed.

Believe the negative reviews! This place is an absolute racket. I’ve been a member for 5 years. (Not that it even matters) Rhonda the Honda got towed there Saturday morning, before they opened, and they held my car over the weekend over a cross threaded lug nut. I called Monday and they quoted me $280 for two lug nut and stud replacements. Luckily I got my car out of there to get my tire fixed somewhere else with actual reasonable prices!
