Stayed here for our honeymoon and it was lovely. Pretty views, great staff, and comfortable room. The restaurant had amazing food. A plus we enjoyed was the stargazing event with an astronomer. So cool! For a “resort and spa” though, it would have been nicer to have a bigger or more hot tubs (the one in the pool area is tiny) and more spa amenities that were included. Using the spa is a separate thing/charge. It feels more like a boutique hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a great time.

Amazing. That’s the first thing. The room was spotless and it smelled really good. I am very picky when it comes to products I use in my hair but I love the shampoo and conditioner that the room has. The spa! Everyone was so friendly and I was experiencing some pain and I told my massage therapist to avoid that area and she still managed to make me fully relaxed and comfortable from walking in to leaving everyone was great. The salt rock was great. Their lunch is my favorite!! One of the best guacamole I have ever had!!! The hotel is located in the best spot. Walking distance from the strip that has a lot of cute little stores. Every question I had, they answered it with the nicest tone and quickly. Overall an amazing experience with Amara. I hope to come back again.

When can I move in permanently?! Lovely ambiance; staff is unparalleled for service and friendliness; stunning view from our king view room. We booked through Chase so breakfast was included and was delicious. We can recommend the cowboy benedict (although we made a substitution for the ham) and everything bagel plate (with a sub for the bacon). The room is spacious and well appointed and our balcony has a view of the grounds as well as red rock. (It even has a Smeg beverage fridge!) Soundproofing is great; there was quite a crowd gathered on a seating area about 30 foot away and down 1 floor, but when we closed the patio door, we did not hear a thing.

I had high hopes when coming to this hotel for a one evening stay. A big reason I chose this place was all the comments on service level. Being in the hospitality industry myself, this is one of the most important elements when I stay somewhere. The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and the bartender was great. I did notice a complete lack service in the morning when I checked out. The lady simply took my valet stub and didn’t inquire as to how my stay was. When I asked for two separate things at the coffee bar earlier that morning, I received a very perfunctory answer. I ordered room service for dinner and though I saw many Hotel employees walk by my room a dozen times, the tray sat in the hallway from the evening until the time I checked out the next morning. The bath products were really nice and beds comfortable. Overall, I thought the service was lacking compared to what it easily could have been.

I stayed at Amara Resort and Spa for one night while visiting Arizona for the first time after flying into Phoenix and driving to the Grand Canyon. I arrived exhausted and honestly just needed a place that felt safe, calm, and supported, with staff who actually cared. I was a little nervous booking at first, but I’m really glad I did. For the location, atmosphere, and overall experience, Amara is very reasonably priced, especially compared to other places in the area that are wildly overpriced. The energy here is great, and the property feels peaceful and well cared for. What truly made the experience special was Jesus at the front desk. He helped me in ways others couldn’t and made everything feel seamless. In the morning, he was able to extend my stay, upgrade my room, and work around availability so I could stay a few extra nights—quickly, smoothly, and without stress. He even moved me into a better room for the remaining nights when my original room was booked, and handled everything effortlessly. As a first-time visitor from out of town, that level of care meant a lot. It genuinely felt like my first little “miracle” or moment of good luck arriving in Sedona. Jesus was professional, kind, efficient, and made me feel taken care of when I really needed it. If you’re looking for a place with great energy, a good location, fair pricing, and staff who actually go the extra mile, Amara Resort and Spa is absolutely worth it—and Jesus is someone you’ll be grateful to meet.
