We visited AMC Desert Ridge for the first time yesterday. The theater is in a nice location. You can sit outside and enjoy some company. The biggest disappointment for us was they no longer do food service to your seat. They still have the normal food and snacks you can order at concessions but you have to wait there and pick it up to take to your seat. We still decided to get some food (though we knew it was overpriced theater food) the chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and pizza were cooked well and tasty at least. The coke freestyle machines out in the lobby were really nice (probably my favorite thing about the concessions). You can puck ehatever drink satisfies your current mood and change whenever your mood does (which for some of us is more often than others). They also had butter stations for your popcorn so you could butter your own until your hearts content...or your arteries are clogged. They have McGruffins bar for those that want to partake in a drink or two. The seats were pretty nice, reclining with small tables. They did feel close to your neighbor but as long as your neighbor isn't sasquatch, still comfortable. The screen was a good size for the room and the volume was at a nice level. I think I could have rotisseried a chicken in the theate room, but maybe that is just me and my hot flashes. Overall it was a pleasant enough experience if you want a typical movie going time it is worth the visit.

First time at this location and we are happy to see the Celebrities Wall mural at the front. Seats are comfortable. We didn't order food but they have it in case you want. It's in a Mall so it's convenient. Many amenities outside. The only negative thing are the sounds, were too high. Volume needs adjusting. Be back.

Sound and picture? Awesome. IMAX laser looks great and the audio absolutely slams. Everything else feels neglected. Seats are worn out with zero cushioning left, fabrics look dirty, cup holders were sticky, and there’s visible dust and grime on the walls and even on top of the speakers. The whole auditorium feels like it hasn’t been deep cleaned in years. 3D glasses were greasy when handed to us (gross). Popcorn was good — I’ll give them that. Also weirdly frustrating: no clear signage showing what movie is playing in each auditorium. We forgot our theater number and walked into the wrong one twice.

Cheryl (not sure if that's how it's spelled) is lovely, and deserves a raise. They had some trouble with Imax during the first two showings of the twenty one pilots movie, but she handled it professionally and was very polite and kind. Food was good, theaters were clean. If I was to say anything negative, it would simply be that the plumbing might need some work 🤣 Overall, would recommend.

AMC Theatres Desert Ridge location is my favorite location in the valley. The outdoor mall is absolutely beautiful. Another perk it’s extremely close to where I live. but it’s so incredibly close to home. When it comes to Customer Service they are always outstanding.
