I saw Tron in Imax with lasers on Tuesday at Mesa Grand 14. It was one of the best movies experiences I have had. Visually and audibly amazing. The seats were even heated! The staff were friendly and the kiosks were handy. Everything was clean and working. I drove an hour and a half to Tucson to meet some friends and show them the movie yesterday night at their ONLY AMC (Foothills 15). There were no kiosks. The staff were overwhelmed. I asked for a cardboard box to split my popcorn and they said they could give me a plastic bag or a hotdog tray. One icee machine said it was ready but was fully liquid. The second machine half worked. The whole theatre was disgusting. Attached are the seats in the IMAX theatre room compared to the nice Mesa ones. Fricken disgusting. Those seats have never been cleaned. Everything smelled. The seat numbers are hidden on the armrests that are lifted in the up position making it impossible to find your seat in the dark. The vents rattled loudly with the bass. And the quality of the audio and video was extremely poor in comparison to the version I saw earlier in the week. I am EXTREMELY turned off by the experience and it explains why my friends choose the other theatres in town over this location. I took them here due to the movie being filmed for IMAX, but never again will we go to this location until something is done. That was AWFUL, DISGUSTING, and the worst experience I had in a theatre in the last 10 years. Did I mention the ticket prices are the same?

I love AMC theaters because of the accessibility and not having to climb stairs. But lately they have been scheduling their good movies at 3:00 or 3:55 which is too late for me and we've been going to Harkins instead because they schedule earlier. Please change your schedules for movies like I can only imagine 2 and Epic Elvis. We are seniors that don't like to be out late in the afternoon.

The IMAX with a 3D was very good, and seats somewhat comfortable, though did not recline enough for me. I took one star off because the audio volume during the 1/2 hour of previews and advertisements was way too loud! It consistently hit 90 decibels. I had to put earplugs in

I really wish I could give this place five stars. All my visits have been great except for recently; A ticket checker by the name of Myla sent me and my three year old daughter to a theater with RATED R COMMERCIALS when trying to see Zootopia 2! Without checking!!!! Rated R!!!! For a three year old!!! My daughter had to sit through a graphic commercial of an APE EATING SOMEONES FACE OFF. I am so appalled. The manager by the name of Roberta kept interrupting me when I came up, very upset with NO HELP other than “She’s new.” I had to ask Roberta to stop interrupting me because her de-escalation skills needed work, and, because I have worked in customer service for 9 years, she didn’t know how to listen to a complaint and make a customer feel heard and let them complain because they are upset. It would be helpful if she could work on her people skills and management of AMC! Maybe take a class on managing complaints? And then, I had to tell her how to do her job and that she needed to talk to Myla to ensure this didn’t happen again. She offered no help, no promises, no reassurances THAT THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN TO YOUR KID. AVOID THIS AMC! They don’t train their staff properly and they don't guarantee excellency! Their managers don't care about problems you may have. Seriously a sad look for amc. No wonder this theater is always deserted. EDIT: IF YOU CHECK RECENT COMMENTS, you can see this is a VERY COMMON, VERY RECENT DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR THEATER. I wonder why. Going downhill for a reason. Maybe review staffing needs!

The theater was dirty, and the customer service was terrible, especially at the bar. My wife bought a drink, took it to her seat, and was repulsed by the flavor. She asked me to get it exchanged, but the nervous and inexperienced employee refused, claiming she couldn’t do anything about it and needed to call her manager. Shannon, the manager, came over and looked at the drink, but she said there was nothing she could do with it. When I asked why, she simply said that alcohol isn’t free. The overall attitude seemed to be that the customer was trying to scam them, which was honestly weird.
