Public Golf Course - Scenic desert golf course at the base of the Superstition Mountains

Played here Friday 2/20/26 in a foursome. First time anyone in our group had played this course. Tee time was 10:07am, we arrived 30 minutes early. Pro shop greeting was cold and uninviting - no instructions were provided. We asked for a 3rd cart due to one of our players having a bad knee and difficulty getting in-and-out as either passenger or driver. Pro shop staff member "James" was rude and denied the request stating he needed every cart they had that day. We offered to pay double for an extra cart, James said "NO" again and declined making any accommodation or exceptions further. We understand there are rules and maybe they did need every cart they had but it was how James seemed irritated and annoyed we even asked. On the turn we noticed 20 carts available in the cart area and at least that many when we finished our round. James lied about needing every cart, I guess to prove a point. The course was in ok shape that day, not good and not bad - just meh. The course Marshal asked us to keep pace with the group in front of us on the 1st hole (which we did and had just teed off), even waiting on the group in front of us from time-to-time. The course Marshal again approached our group on like the 4th or 5th hole to warn us to keep pace (while we were waiting in the middle of the fairway 130 yards out with the group in front of us still putting on the green). We asked if he thought we should continue play with the group still putting on the green and he drove away shaking his head - not to answer no but like we had pissed him off. The Marshal continued to follow our group around the course (front nine mostly) watching us from a distance behind trees and bushes. Weird experience to say the least. James in the pro shop needs coaching or classes on how to effectively work in a service industry. With so many golf choices in the Valley, why would anyone play this course? We will not be back anytime soon!

Such a class act place. The owner and the staff donated the course to honor the AJ fallen officer and take care of our military and first responders. Thank you and everyone should golf here. Course is in great shape as well! Thank you

Course in good shape for not being a course that truly overseeds in the winter time. Greens and shoulders overseeded and real good shape. The price point very good, seeing how a lot of courses are still over 100+ dollars to play. Had a 6:15am tee time, start was a little behind, and sent us off at 6:22am. I remember this because starter wrote on golf cart in sharpie on the advertisement board above on the cart the start time. Apparently, that is how this course maintains pace of play for the ranger on course to know where each group is at. We were approached by the ranger on hole 4 saying we were behind by 14 minutes off of pace. Unfortunately we had nowhere to go as we were pressing the group in front of us, and we mentioned that to him. He was not in a good mood, and preceeding on to figure out what group was holding everyone up. The worst part was we never saw a ranger on the back, never saw a beverage cart until the end of our round. Pace slowed down incredibly on the back. With there not being housing around and it being a traditional style course with back-to-back holes, there were several cross fairway arrant shots going everywhere. Pretty dangerous, not to say that my ball was picked up on two holes on the back. I was in play on the fairways for the holes I was playing, so there shouldn't of been any reason why a ball was swiped. I believe when you stack to many groups to close to each other to get max play each day this scenario is always going to happen. All said, I will not be returning to play at Apache Creek Golf Club for a while, as these elements resulted in a poor experience. I used to play this course every week in a group last year and never experienced anything like this before. Not any result of how I played either, because I played well, just wish those elements had not occurred, would have been more enjoyable.

Tees, fairways and greens were very nice! Compliments to the Superintendent! Great job, beautiful fairways and greens!

We found everyone very friendly and the other players on the course. The grass was actual green, which is rare this time of year. We did enjoy the course and it had some great views.
