Apache Lake Marina

Absolutely love this place. I wish the restaurant and bar were open every day. The rooms and buildings are definitely dated, but they’re trying to update them as they go. The absolute best thing this place has going for it, is the staff!

The road is back open from canyon lake and the road from Roosevelt is paved. It’s worth the visit! The lake is beautiful and not too crowded. The resort is newly renovated and nice. The staff are all great. If you eat at the restaurant, try the homemade soft serve ice cream. It’s delicious!

The road to the marina is now paved from 188 12 mi in to the turn off to the restaurant and Marina. It is a little wider than it was before but still have to pay attention going around the curves.

Apache Lake is a beautiful place. However, we will never camp here again. The camping is a free for all, there are no dedicated spots. It was over crowded and horribly loud. Big parties of people were blasting music nearly all night and the bathrooms were disgusting. We felt like we were camping on top of each other with tents right next to one another in the scant grass areas for camping. They don't seem to cap the number if people who can camp there. Never ever again will we try to tent camp here. Once we got out on the lake, it is beautiful and serene because the lake is so huge and long that you could go for a good portion of the day without seeing anyone else. Very worth it to rent a boat and get away from the populated area. We didn't stay in the hotel and will try that next time. The road to the lake was rough, I can't imagine trying to drive it in a small car.

Fantastic location and couple of days enjoying the lake and report. Service we spot on. everyone was interested in making sure we had what we needed, at the restaurant, bar, rentals and front desk. We’re thankful for all the great folks that work there.
