Arizona BBQ Shack

If you love really good BBQ this is a great place. We ordered brisket, baby back ribs and fried catfish with four sides and shared it. Everything was delicious! they have live music on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings. This is one of those family owned BBQ places and the owner chef named Joe came over and talked with us to see how we liked everything. Cool guy that constantly has a smile on his face. I will be back every time I visit Phoenix. Joe is truly a BBQ pit master.

Literally right before I sat, someone posted a one star review of the place. Great vibes, waitress was really kind.. but food,;, i was expecting some juicy cut, but the meat was so dry, just like the other comments suggested. The hostess was kind enough to get me a more moist cut, but still, it looked like it’s been sitting there forever.

This place is amazing. Went for lunch and couldn't have had BETTER one. Got to talk to Joe (owner and chef) and all around just a great place. The Shackwich (brisket/pulled pork) is to die for. The catfish is literally the best in Arizona! Shout out to his mom that taught him how to do catfish right! There is really not a better BBQ place here than this. Go and check them out.

Do you want to feel like family on your first time, while eating some truly exceptional BBQ like your southern grandpa used to make? Seriously, stop by this place. I’m here on a Tuesday night, listening to live music, eating more than I probably should, and being treated like one of the regulars on my very first time here. The chef came out to make sure all patrons were happy, the vibe is super chill, and Ryan the bartender is taking personal pride in his work. 10/10 will come back. Often.

First Class customer service, fun place to go especially on Friday nights & open mike nights.If you love to sing, play an instrument or enjoy listen to some good jazz or down home blues.You’ve found your place.Great vibe, good friendly people & good times.The food is delicious especially the Marjorie Catfish Special with greens & cornbread. I felt like my food was not only home cooked but made by hands of love.YUMMY, it was so good :) The brisket is so good with a side of Mac/cheese, cornbread & greens.Make sure to leave room for their to die for deserts. Full bar, indoor outdoor seating & plenty of parking. Az BBQ Shack always has something good going on & is perfect if you need catering.Chef Joe & Shay are so welcoming.It feels like you’re having a home cooked meal with family.Great place for ALL occasions.
