Hands down the Best Fly Fishing Guide Crew in Arizona. They wrote the book on Canal Carping in Phoenix. I learned that everyone else just copied these guys. They also are fully are Insured, Licensed and Permitted. Most the other services aren't. They have over 100+ years of experience between all of them. They are so good that their competitors are the only ones that left negative reviews hahahaha. That's how terrible the other guide services are in Arizona. None of them can produce a carp photo before 2018 besides Cinda Howard. They certainly can't show you guide records before 2020. Cinda is the only other legitimate guide in Arizona besides this guide crew. Every other listing is totally new and unexperienced. That's just the truth. It all originated here.

Derek was super helpful for my first trip out for carp. This trip put me miles ahead to be able to target carp on my own now. He answered all my questions and gave great tips, helping me really see what I need to do get one of these monsters in the net. Had a great time going along the canals and to community ponds, and even caught a koi! Update: Went back out with Derek in the summer, this time on the lake for common carp. I think we broke his record for client numbers and had a blast. He's a great angler and a chill guy, and works hard to get you on fish, giving tips along the way.

Truly awesome day on the water. After we got skunked at the lake due to the weather, Derek drove to a canal so we could fish for carp. I totally understand why people love carp fishing now, and it’s super fun. It felt like a day fishing with a good friend. I’ll definitely come back and book with Derek again the next time we visit!

Derek is an awesome guide! I went out with him on a carp fishing trip with the belief that targeting carp with a fly rod wasn’t productive enough for me to want to keep targeting carp.
