Definitely remembered the Triple D episode that featured this amazing little place. I totally agree with Guy's assessment of this place. The food is spectacular! This isn't your typical Mexican food joint. It's innovative, creative and refreshingly delightful. What we ordered surpassed all expectation in terms of taste and presentation. This is definitely a must visit when in one visits Phoenix.

Absolutely one of the best meals ever! The service was beyond phenomenal. The guacamole, is amazing and I definitely recommend. My mother who is visiting from Florida said a halibut dish rivaled the seafood she gets on the coast. The steak is out of this world. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like from here. Our server was incredibly considerate with my pregnant sister’s dietary restrictions and considerations. Best dining experience I have had for a while.

I am a native of AZ and have been looking for a Mexican restaurant that I have a craving for and HAVE to go back to. @thebarriocafe IS THAT PLACE! The best food and drinks I have had from ANY restaurant! 6/4/2022 No, really guys. It’s still so flipping good!!!! You need to try it! It is expensive but very much worth it. New tables, silverware, and better service then before. 8/12/2022 Ok. This is just becoming unfair. A new item, the Pollo Pablano. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the overall balance was just perfect. Dessert. The Tres Leches Cake was humongous! The flavor you guys! My fiancé was speechless, no easy feat. 2/24/24 Welp, it’s still problematically delicious. Please go here.

Amazing food. So delicious! Could barely walk out I was so full. Just couldn't stop ordering. Great variety, something for everyone. The staff were very friendly and explained items on the menu. Beautiful artwork and murals everywhere. I will be back often! Great parking also!

Genuinely one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. With COVID we've generally avoided eating inside because some restaurants have not set up safely, but there was never a moment here that we were remotely uncomfortable. The food here is other-worldly. I never knew guacamole could be so good. We ordered 3 different entrees (for leftovers, the entrees are huge) and every single thing on the plate was perfectly thought out and tasted like it was the chef's sole purpose in life to create that exact dish. The staff elevates the dining to another level. Can't wait to get back.
