We just had our first experience at BRBG, and it was exceptional. As first timers including two adults and two kids (ages 13 and 9), we found the facilities super clean with extremely warm and helpful staff. It was a welcoming atmosphere with challenges for all levels including us as beginners (as well as some really hard ones for more experienced climbers). The experience was both exhausting and exhilarating, and we look forward to coming back again! Highly recommended BRBG for all levels.

I’ve been coming here since March, and it’s really begun to feel like a second home. The people are so welcoming and amazing, and the staff is so supportive. The routes are incredible and, at times, super creative. It’s not until months later that I realize they mix up styles to give people chances to develop skills and techniques. I started by not even being able to do most of the V1 routes, and I finally progressed to V3 last month. I realized a big reason is that each V2 and each V1 was a lesson in technique, and even with their V1s, there was so much diversity that after a few months, I gained the skills to progress to V2 and now V3.

The staff were very kind to my young niece, plus my nephew had a blast and made a friend. The facility was clean. These reasons earned all 3 stars. As a climber, it was hard to understand the vibe and reasoning behind rules. For instance, a punch pass may be used by one person only. I’ve bought punch passes for multiple other gyms that allow me to share. I even buy punches in addition to my monthly membership to offer visiting friends (on top of a free guest pass each month). It seems counterintuitive for a business to limit this. Also I love slab, yet the only two slab walls were taken up entirely by two comp style traverses. It’d be nice if one of those slab walls had several climbs instead. It gave the impression that holds were in short supply or the setters strongly prefer overhang to slab. Lastly, from other reviews, it’s wild to have a members only day. I love climbing for community and inclusion. There are better ways to cater for members and serious climbers, for instance member appreciation perks or sensory mornings (no music, natural light only). I wish this gym all the best and it probably fits some people’s tastes. Personally, I would rather visit gyms that have a more welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

Big gym, fun climbs. Feels like outdoor setting, a bit harder and mostly static climbs. (I did find one dyno set) Has a workout area and lots of walls with different dimensions/angles which I enjoyed. The floor mats are kind of hard though

Creative routes, helpful staff, wonderful classes, and a safe and welcoming community. I love BRBG! I'm realizing I've never left a review for this gym that has been a second home for me over the past 5 years... let's fix that. BRBG was the first place I ever climbed beyond a child rock wall. I came in with the goal of getting stronger and building confidence before climbing outdoors for the first time. I ended up with a hobby that helped keep me grounded during a tough season of life, a wonderful community that made me feel welcome and stoked every time I walked through the doors, and I met the majority of my closest friends I do life with now. I also worked here for awhile before jumping back into my full-time career, so I've seen behind the scenes how the owners treat the staff AND over the past two years what it feels like to be a regular member. Best gym in the valley, 10/10 recommend. 🥰
