Buck & Rider

This was my first visit to Buck and Rider and I wasnt disappointed. This place was highly recommended and I see why. The cold bar was amazing, we had shrimp/oysters/scallops... those alone could have been the meal for the night. Stepped it up and ordered the Redfish (suggested by the waitress, she was right) that dish with the broccolini hut the spot........ last thing was their famous crab cake, I don't care what the price is, order it, no fillers just straight crab and the sauce is unreal.... I will definitely be coming back to this place 🙌

This is hard to write because I hate giving low reviews on restaurants but it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. The space itself is well furnished and well decorated, the service was good (could work on training staff regarding food allergies) but the food.... literally the main reason we were there, was just so disappointing. Based on the atmosphere we were expecting really high quality food. We travel a lot and have food experience all over the world and I never in my life tasted anything so tasteless as the food we were served. There was zero seasoning. I had to double check what I was eating because it tasted bizarrely super bland. The sauce as well. Granted, plating was nice (which was also super misleading because how the food looked and how it tasted didn't match, giving it two stars because of how the food looked). The "ceviche" shrimp was practically rubber, it was that overcooked. And the fish "cubes" in the fish tacos were extremely chewy and tasteless as well. The tortillas (they said that they make them there) were crumbly, thick, undercooked and tasteless as well. The place was our last stop in AZ before departing and I wish we never went. I have had more tasty food in shacks and food trucks than what we were served.

My family and I dined here tonight and had nothing short of an exceptional experience. Our server, Cameron, was absolutely outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly personable. She offered excellent recommendations and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. Every dish and drink was executed perfectly, with remarkable attention to detail. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. We will absolutely be returning again and again.

We went with high expectations and the restaurant lived up to the hype. The fish is sourced fresh, and most of the dishes are well made. The restaurant is busy so make priority seating reservations. The oysters were excellent. The sushi rolls were great too. Perhaps a bit more variety for desserts otherwise a well run operation. Book with confidence. A second visit and this was stellar. Great options for shareable plates and loved the service. Jake was outstanding.

What an amazing experience for my mom’s 85th birthday. The food, atmosphere and service was Five star across the board. All of the dishes were absolutely delicious and we will definitely be returning to this establishment. This place can compete with any of the top rated seafood houses in Scottsdale
