Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town

Had a great stay at this hotel in Scottsdale. The location was perfect — close to restaurants, shopping, and everything we wanted to do, which made getting around really convenient. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable during our visit. The rooms were clean and a good size. The only downside was the air conditioning in the room, which didn’t work very well. Still, a good experience overall thanks to the amazing location and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic experience here. The hotel is almost brand new so everything was clean, modern, and presented nicely. The pool and bar were highlights for us; seeking sun where there is none this time of year back home. I want to especially shout out Lead Sales Rep, Tiffany Nguyen, who made my wife feel seen and special on her birthday.

We stayed for a week and found the hotel quite comfortable. The location is excellent, within walking distance of most of Scottsdale’s attractions. The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. A couple of negative points. First, the hotel lacks any quiet spaces for relaxing or quiet conversations. The lobby is open and very noisy. The 7th floor outdoor lounge is lovely but staff turn the music up to a blistering level at 9am. No place to enjoy the quiet morning. Finally, at night, the room creaked, groaned and moaned. It seemed it might be haunted 😆

I have never had two people behind a bar (Alma, she clearly spelled out for me, thank you Alma for treating me as if I can't spell -Or- understand Spelling phonics, she found it humorous..... I DID NOT) and Zylo, coming to her defense for me simply wanting a pen (whom I also overhead apologizing to another patron about overcharging them $275) What? Zylo.... to be so Cavalier and disrespectful. Wow. They instantly took our 5 star experience to a two star I'm not sure if they thought I had Been drinking? I hadn't . My husband and I have two sons both engineers and I was mortified by Alma and Zylos blatant disrespect. All I asked for was a "felt tip" pen because the ballpoint pen wasn't working in the heat. We had a $200 tab and wanted to tip Delaney $50 she worked her butt off and was so kind. Delaney was wonderful I hope that management takes this review as a lesson on how to do better! My husband is an executive in aerospace, and he was even shocked by the way these two represented canopy Hilton. We stay at Hilton's all the time. I'm embarrassed for Canopy Scottsdale. We won't stay here again nor will we recommend it. Ending on a positive: Alison, at breakfast served us and was such a gem, a complete joy, Delaney: thanks for serving us poolside with laughter and wit. You're adorable

We stopped by the bar at the canopy tonight for some drinks and had a lovely evening. Our bartender Preston was great company and provided a great service. He was really welcoming and made for nice conversation. There was an unruly customer at the bar for a while, and I couldn’t help but notice that a supervisor or manager was nowhere in sight until she was escorted out; however the staff we observed behind the bar handled the situation with discretion, courtesy, and grace. All in all, it was a great night!
