We had a Valentine's dinner 6:45pm reservation for Charro Steak. Drinks and oysters at the steak side bar with live music was nice. We were then sat on the Del Ray side, where my poor experience began. 1. There wasn't live music in the Del Ray, instead random music played from the sound system which wasn't supportive of a Saturday night Valentines dinner. Not romantic like the steak side would've been. 2. Our server was a male, who had a nonchalant attitude about providing service. We sat for 5-6 minutes before he greeted us and took our drink order. We had to ask 15 minutes later for him to bring our ordered diet pepsi. Mid-meal, instead of recognizing an empty glass at the corner of our table, we had to ask again for a refilled soda. 3. Our server was whistling as he walked around the restaurant. We knew where he was in the restaurant by hearing his whistle, and he surely wasn't tending to our needs without first having to be called over. 4. When my $130+ meal arrived, it came without a steak knife. At this point, I just used my dull table knife. 5. Sure, my server did his "job", but the service was pitiful. He referred to me as "bro" "my dude" instead of something courteous. Also, he referred to the man in the table next to me as "big dog". If I wanted this level of chill, I would have gone to a sports bar, not dropped $300+ at this steakhouse. At the end, he took the signed receipt without a farewell, thankyou, nor happy whatever. Just grabbed the ticket, his pen and walked to the staff computer. Food was delicious, but the overall experience was a letdown. I wish I had chosen a different restaurant to spend my Valentines dinner at.

This was an awesome place! One, it was open on Thanksgiving. Two, the turkey dinner was amazing! You got everything on the plate- white and dark meat, mashed potatoes with gravy, dressing, corn, green beans, mac and cheese, and a dessert table. The bar was cool too. It is a very big place. We didn't order the lobster, but it looked amazing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) We are frequent visitors to Tucson and love exploring the food scene, so we were excited to try Charro Steak & Del Rey. The ambiance is beautiful, sultry enough for a romantic night out, yet still welcoming for families or groups celebrating together. Definitely insta-worthy. We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated, which was a great start. Chips and salsa arrived quickly, but it took a while before water and drinks made it to the table. Our server explained that one of our cocktails required a trip to their sister restaurant, which contributed to the delay. Salsa offered so many delicious flavors, combined it was a jackpot. We ordered the Chef’s Cut of the night along with the tableside Caesar salad. The salad was a highlight w/ fun presentation, great story, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, nearly 30 minutes after ordering, we were told the entrée was no longer available. We quickly pivoted to another option, but by the time the steak arrived (about an hour into the meal), it was barely warm and slightly overcooked. The flavor of the Montana grass-fed beef was excellent, but the execution missed the mark for what should have been a standout dish. Dessert saved the evening, the lava cake was excellent. However, timing was again an issue: my original coffee cocktail couldn’t be made, so I switched to a chocolate espresso martini, which arrived after the ice cream with our dessert had already started melting. Overall, Charro Steak & Del Rey offers wonderful ambiance and great flavors, but our evening was overshadowed by timing issues, long delays, and missed expectations for a fine dining experience. I truly believe the food is very good here, just wish the service flow matched the quality of the ingredients.

Charro Steak Oracle “NORTH” Tuscan! I would give this place 100 STARS, if I could. We had the Filet and Bone in rib eye. Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, and beans. Everything was incredible and the flavors were amazing. Steaks from Montana and cooked to Perfection, service from our waiter Gage was top notch. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Went here for our anniversary, little confusing on which part to enter but got it straightened out fine. Service was great, our server had great recommendations, chips and salsa we really good, i would suggest keeping the salsa for the main dish. The steak was done very nicely. Bacon wrapped shrimp were very tasty. The dessert was excellent.
