Cinemark Century Tucson Marketplace and XD

Cinemark Century Tucson Marketplace and XD is one of the best theaters in town for comfort and convenience. The reclining seats are spacious and comfortable, and the XD screen delivers crisp visuals and immersive sound that really elevate the experience. The lobby and restrooms are always clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Parking is easy, with plenty of spaces and even EV charging stations right near the entrance. Concessions are what you’d expect at a theater on the pricier side but the popcorn is fresh, and you can ask for extra butter if you want it just right. The only downside is that occasionally the picture has minor glitches or flickers in certain auditoriums, but it doesn’t happen often enough to ruin the overall experience. Overall, this theater combines modern comfort with good service, making it my go-to spot for movies in Tucson.

I always order my concessions before I get to the theater. I love having everything ready so I can pickup and go straight to my auditorium. This visit, I ordered four drinks with ice and a refillable popcorn. The popcorn was ready, but I was given four empty cups! There was one of me. How was I expected to carry all this? I expected the container of popcorn in a Cinemark bag and the drinks in a cup holder. THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE AT THE PARK PLACE CINEMARK, and it makes sense. Now, I asked for a bag to put the popcorn in so we could get our refill right then, since there were four of us when the others showed up. Your concessions representative proceeded to chastise me by saying, "These are part of our merchandise and are not to be used for popcorn refills, but we'll let it go this time, but you have to bring your own container next time." Had this Cinemark theater done what they were supposed to do, I would have already had the bag, gone into the auditorium, put our drinks in their holders, removed the popcorn, and put it into the bag that I should have been provided with in the first place. I still love Cinemark as a whole, but this experience really pissed me off.

The tickets for entrance at this particular cinema is reasonable. They also have chairs, that have motorized movements in them. If your tired, you probably can fall asleep through your show. The refreshment stand has something for everyone. This can be somewhat on the higher marks, but this is expected at most cinemas. I liked it, especially how comfortable you can get while watching your show. I suggest you too try it one time!

Very comfortable seats, good location and great popcorn!

Beautiful theater, with clean & organized amenities. The location is in a spot a little far away from other stores, so do not expect to roam around a mall before attending this theater. Huge parking lot, with electric vehicle spots near the front entrance. Inside the theater includes a wide array of snacks, including tasty popcorn (which is buttered upon request), mozzarella sticks, hot dogs, ice cream, and drinks so tall you won't finish it even after the movie's done! Apparently, I learned that they also offer an employee to bring your food to you instead of waiting in line or you can also order beforehand and pick it up while you head to your movie. You can choose to pay in person at the ticket booth which will be located to your right, or do what I did and order tickets online. Even so, you'll have to still stop by the ticket booth for them to scan your confirmation code. Either way you pay, there will be an opportunity to choose your own seat. There is also an arcade at the front left of the theater, which will entice any young soul to try out before their movie begins. This would be a great spot to celebrate a birthday, especially with their large parking lot and semi-secluded location. Their XD theater provides more high-quality definition, and it they can seat up to roughly 184 guests. Each and every seat is designed with comfortable cushions, movable armchairs & leg rests. This theater specially moves their leg rests with two buttons located on the right side of your chair: one for the actually leg portion and the other for your lower back, as you can choose to lean lower or higher in your chair. Aside from that, there is ample space between other guests (with large walking paths & metal fences) so there is no concern about people kicking the back of your chair or talking so loud that you'll hear. I'd recommend any seat in the house excluding the front rows that are closest to the screen. I don't see how it can be fun to seat that close as the proximity blocks your view of the entire performance. So, if you decide to come here during an opening night of a big film, I urge you to grab your spots early to avoid being pushed to the front. I cannot say anything more about this place that won't reiterate my love for it. Great location, food, & service. I would come here again for another pleasant experience.
