In regard to a Real Estate transaction recently completed I am alerting potential and current customers to agent, Steven Bauman. I met him originally in 2023 and hired him to list and sell my home in June, '25. My impression of him is he "sells" himself as an educated, competent, truthful and diligent agent. During the transaction many issues arose which I believe proved that he does not possess those qualities and quite the opposite. I believe Steve did not followup with timely returned phone calls, made verbal financial claims that he did not meet and still has not honored. When Steve left town several times during our process, his partner was dealing with the process. I was advised by Steve, the partner knew everything about the transaction, which per the partner and I conversing, was surely not the case. The one star rating is for the manager at the Scottsdale office, when Steve faltered in my belief, Amanda Thomason came through to rectify a serious financial event.

An agent from this agency is named Jane M Grimm. AZ license number SA656750000. She conspired with the seller in my recent home purchase to hide the fact that the water softener was broken, leaking and was not working. They submitted a suspiciously blurry, unreadable SPDS document. When we asked for a readable copy they conveniently failed to answer an important question about the water softener. Jane Grimm later claimed neither she or the seller even knew the house had a water softener even though it was in the garage plain view!! They set the softener to Bypass but left it plugged in so it appeared to be functioning. After a few months of investigation our plumber discovered the unit was bypassed because it had a horrible leak and needed replacement. Our sales contract had a clause where both parties agreed to formal mediation in case of a dispute like this. However Jane Grimm advised her client to ignore our request for mediation and wait to see if we took them to court. Well we went before a McDowell Mountain Court yesterday and we were awarded $1900 to pay for a replacement softener! Jane Grimm is sneaky and dishonest. Brokers are supposed to be even handed and fair. Avoid her services if possible.

I worked with property advisor and Realtor, Sarah Edwards and her team, out of this office and found a level of communication, professionalism, and advocacy that is rare in this day and age. Sarah is my go-to Realtor for advisement buying, and selling!

We purchased a condo in Goodyear this year in June and dealt with Marilyn Brougher, this lady is the most amazing realtor we have ever dealt with, she is knowledgeable, patient, kind and incredibly helpful. Andrea was amazing for a first time home buyer. She was on top of everything even when the lender was not.
