I had high expectations, as I have always had my clubs custom-made to suit me perfectly. So would the tour level experience fitting at Coolclubs be just as good? The answer is a resounding „yes“! Coolclubs has set a new benchmark for me. The advice I received during the fitting process and the club building process aswell the communication with Sara were absolutely on eye-level with my expectations – they exceeded them! I can't thank them enough for this great experience. I will definitely come back to Coolclubs again for any questions and needs I may have, and as I said, that means a lot, especially since I'm from Germany. I give coolclubs a 11/10 – my custom clubs look great and fit my swing perfectly, best clubs I have ever gamed. Thank you!

The Good / Budget Gap / Reality / etc.. The Good: The facility at Grayhawk is top-tier (outdoor range, Pro V1s), and my fitter, Justin, was friendly and knowledgeable. The data gathered on the driver and irons was solid. I’m TPI certified (but not in the golf industry), so I came in as an informed golfer with clear goals and a clear budget. The Budget Gap: I set a firm $6,000 all-in budget. I explicitly told them that if they couldn’t hit that number, I would order directly from Titleist. I was assured this wouldn’t be an issue. The Reality: Despite knowing my budget and my Titleist preference, there was no noticeable effort to keep me in OEM-friendly options or even in Titleist, which I didn't worry about during the fitting since I was assured budget wasn't going to be a issue. We moved into specific aftermarket shafts and, while they performed well, the Cool Clubs markups and build fees pushed the final quote to over $7,500 (excluding taxes and a putter)—missing the budget by thousands. The Catch: When I tried to execute my “Plan B” (ordering direct), I hit a wall. The specific shaft models I was fitted into were not available on the OEM custom portal or major retailers like TGW. I was left with a spec sheet I couldn’t easily use, despite being clear up front that this was required if they couldn’t hit my budget. The “Standalone Service” Issue: Cool Clubs positions the $500 fitting fee as a standalone premium service. If that’s the model, the service needs to be outstanding whether or not you buy clubs from them. Mine wasn’t. - We never hit a single wedge shot during a “full bag” fitting. - I specifically chose them for MOI matching, but we never measured MOI or discussed how my set would be matched. - I said I wasn’t bought into SST Puring, yet it was still included in the quote anyway. The Aftermath: Post-fitting, I emailed asking for specific length/lie data to help resolve the ordering issues. My questions were ignored, and I was told to just “order from us.” I then emailed management regarding these process failures and lack of follow-up support and received no response at all. The Verdict: After realizing the Titleist custom portal didn’t stock the shafts I needed, I searched for a builder that actually carried the “Cool Clubs spec” components. I eventually found that Fairway Jockey in Scottsdale had the exact inventory to match the build sheet 1-to-1. I was able to order the identical set through them for about $2,000 less (minus SST Puring). They simply filled the order as requested without trying to upsell me. I didn’t go to Cool Clubs expecting a value deal—I was willing to pay more than ordering direct. But at a certain point, the extra money feels like paying for a brand name and invisible benefits that never clearly show up in the final product. Go here if: You have an essentially unlimited budget and having the “Cool Clubs” build and logo on your shafts matters more to you than price. Or the outdoor fitting means a lot to you and you have a builder that you trust or are willing to find one. Avoid if: You expect the $500 fee to guarantee actionable, OEM-usable data. You may leave with a “custom tailored” spec sheet that you cannot actually buy on your own without doing a bunch cross-referencing between Cool Clubs’ “static” measurements and the varying “standard +/-” measurements used by retailers to ensure you are matching the provided spec.

The best place in the valley to get your clubs. Very professional, nice, and efficient. I have bought 2 full sets of clubs from them, they are were exactly what I was looking for. Jason was amazing.
