Would’ve given it five stars, but I’m not sure about the water quality in the pond. It’s reclaimed water, and is a very weird color. But it was a hot day, and my dog didn’t care. Luckily after we finished, and lady told us there was a fresh water rinsing spot for my dog. I was grateful for it. Be prepared to get some degree of wet yourself if you go in the pond area. Dogs are romping around, playing, and shaking off water, and some will get on you. That’s not entirely bad in a hot day. There is a large area next to the pond area that has a couple obstacles for the dogs too.

This park may not be for everyone, but it is perfect for us and our Aussie-Springer mix. There were about 9 or 10 mid-to-large sized dogs chasing each other and romping in the shallow water. Best of all, there was a great little enclosure with a cement floor and drain and a hose with good pressure to wash him off before getting back in the car. Parts of the park are still under construction, and not every one of the four fenced fields was unlocked, but it had what we wanted - water and a beach!

One dog run area is open during construction. The beach is closed, the lake drained. There is still green grass and shade 6pm and later in sweltering June. If you have a dog that likes rolling in cool grass, then there is still something to be had here. June, 2025

Love it, been coming here for more than a year with my big husky (82lb) and mini bernadoodle (22lb.) As with any dog park open to the public, there are occasional little scraps, but I have not once seen an actual fight where anyone's pup was hurt. There's a core group that is there almost every sunset that makes a nice foundation for new people to join. Grassy and minimal dirt/mud areas. Plenty poop bag/trash stations and buckets with water, though the buckets get peed in like 100% of the time 😂
