Desert Canyon Golf Club

This course is incredible. Played 2 rounds in a day at the end of January and was extremely impressed. Course was in excellent condition. The greens were insanely fast and showed us who is boss. Views are amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Great course. Price was a bit steep for my taste but Mark and Kevin, the best cart guys I have ever met, made up for it.

Honestly, really amazing course. Super friendly pro shop staff. But the reason I’m leaving 2 stars is solely because of the ranger/starter - his name was Bob. We were the first tee time and never held up the second group behind us. But Bob came to us multiple times during the front nine telling us that we were behind pace of play. First time, we were like OK maybe we’re playing a little slow. But he came back to us at hole 9 on our approach shot - and told us that we were most likely going to have to skip a hole on the back nine. Again - we have not held up a single group from hitting their shot. I asked Bob what the pace of play is for 18 holes and he said 4:15. We were at our approach shot on the ninth hole and we were exactly two hours into round. I then told him “well we are exactly 2 hours into our round, and we are about to be on the ninth green. So I’m not sure how we’re behind pace of play”. He then said “I’m not sure either but I have to go by the system and it says that you’re almost 20 minutes behind.” Regardless, we picked up pace of play and finished our round in just over 4 hours. The gentlemen at the pro shop then cleaned off our clubs and provided us with great service. But the worst thing in golf is when you’re being hurried by a ranger for absolutely no reason.

Really enjoyed my experience at Desert Canyon Golf Club. Today was my first day playing the course after joining as a member and I was very impressed. Course was well kept and the staff and starter were super friendly. There were some great views and sight lines during my round which made it very enjoyable and peaceful. Definitely would recommend to anyone thinking of playing there. Can't wait to play the course regularly.
