Just recently completed all 16 trails that are available in the park!!! I will say this; the park is very beautiful but is also quite desolate. There are not many people on the trails, especially in the back half of the park. This can be a positive for some but also a negative for others. There are many long trails towards the back which require a long hike just to get to. Sometimes it feels like these trails were designed more for biking than hikers, but to each his own. Overall I really liked the vegetation compared to others parks. This one has a lot of cacti, not a lot of bushes. Oh, also this mountain range is known for its quartz deposits!!! So if you like quartz, this is the park for you!!!

One of the best spots for hiking! I usually hike at South Mountain, but wanted to try something new, and this park was perfect. We went early, and there weren’t many people there. The nature sounds were beautiful. We did a short 1–2 mile hike, and once we rounded one of the hills, the view was absolutely breathtaking! Definitely worth a visit!

Great spot for hiking. Theres short trails1-2 miles and long trails 7-11 miles. Trails are cleared and easily identifiable with name markings of the trails. Some trails you’ll run into bikers and horseback and some you’ll run into no one. Trails are dog friendly and very cleaned trails. Very nice views on the summits, We’re regular hikers there and definitely recommend. These 2 pictures was during the NASCAR events a few weeks ago.

The $10 entrance price is a bit steep, but it is a good spot for hiking and some nice views as well. We went with our young kids, so it has hiking for all levels.

If you’ve ever looked at a jagged, sun-scorched mountain range and thought, "I’d like to trip over every single rock on that thing for 11 and 1/2 hours," then run the Coldwater Rumble here. I paid money for it, and honestly? I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I was told the Estrella's were "rugged." In reality, the trail is about 4% dirt and 96% loose quartz that is actively trying to move to a different part of the mountain while you stand on it. It’s less of a "run" and more of a high-stakes rhythmic gymnastics routine performed over ankle-snapping granite. The views are beautiful and genuinely stunning. The saguaros are majestic and kept me company the entire day out here. When you're done (if you've spent the entire day out here) you'll look like you'd been dragged through a car wash full of gravel. But, I’ve never felt more alive. If you want a beautiful park that will challenge your spirit and makes your toenails file for divorce, this is it. Go for the views, stay for the peace and quiet, and leave before the sun decides to turn the entire valley into a convection oven. For $7 a vehicle, it’s the best deal in Goodyear. Just remember: if the trail says "Technical Loop," and you aren't a mountain goat or a professional athlete, your ego will take a bigger hit than your hamstrings. 12/10 I would suffer here again.
