Stopped by First Chair Rentals thinking it would be my first run of the season, but the weather had other plans. Even so, First Chair took care of me like they always do. The conditions were so bad that (what I believe was the owner) was actually turning away rental customers because he knew they wouldn’t have a good experience—honestly, that alone says everything about this place. I brought in a newly purchased board and needed help with the setup since it’s a very different riding style than what I’m used to. They immediately took me to the back, sized me up properly, and walked me through my measurements and stance step by step. They even showed me exactly how and where to make adjustments if I decided to tweak things once I was actually on the mountain. On top of that, they sharpened the edges without me even asking. When I asked what I owed, they told me not to worry about it and said I was good to go. This is exactly why I’ve been a repeat customer for years—top-tier customer service, genuine honesty, and immaculate vibes every single time. Highly recommend.

Friendly, efficient service with great recommendations. Rented after 3pm gor next day. We were in and out in about 20 minutes. Ski boots, skiis, helmet and poles were comfy and in excellent condition. Return the next day was a breeze.

I returned my snowboard rental a day early and the return process was unnecessarily confusing and frustrating. When I brought the board back, the employee walked me to the register and asked for my card. I was confused why this was needed for a return, but I handed over my main card. He then placed a receipt from last year on the counter and told me I had only rented for two days, which didn’t match my actual rental. I pulled up the charge on a different card to show proof of payment, but despite that, he still asked for my card number again. After all of this, I was told I could only receive a voucher instead of a refund. What’s confusing is that the shop clearly keeps records of rentals and receipts, yet I was asked to repeatedly provide card information and shown an unrelated receipt from a different year. The process felt disorganized and poorly explained, and I was never given a clear reason why a voucher was the only option. I wasn’t upset about returning early. I was confused about why the process was so convoluted and why basic record keeping didn’t seem to be used to resolve a simple return.
