Folley Memorial Park

I arranged my daughters birthday party there. It’s a green and clean place for family gathering. We rented a ramada but there is a playground nearby, where all the guest kids played and enjoyed a lot. The parking is super close to the ramadas so its easy to bring food and other things. I highly recommend it.

This park is bigger than it looks at first glance. It actually offers a decent amount of amenities. We actually went through the city and rented out one of the softball fields for very cheap and they actually prepped the field and dragged the infield and put up signs to keep people off it. We were really impressed with the condition of the softball field that Saturday. They keep this park quite clean and in good shape. Unfortunately the restrooms are often locked which can be kind of gross because people aren't just going to go home you know?

It is nice how they have multiple parking lots. I parked at 601 E Frye which is the closest to the playground area; it has about 2 rows for parking. As you walk past the playground, there is a short sidewalk that takes you past a basketball field on your right and a baseball field to your left. The sidewalk was pretty short and just took about 3 minutes to walk so not much cardio you can do. There are also a few picnic ramada tables, and also there are restrooms and water fountains. The park nonetheless just didn't seem very scenic and I could hear the busy street. The playground does kind of make up for the above.I did like the variety of slides and a lot of tall ones too like a tall light-green steep slide. The play equipment was however worn down and I also saw graffiti.

My son and I love the park but it is constantly covered in trash and there's a lot of broken glass next to a few of the pavilions. It needs a deep clean, not just bottles picked up.

Great family fun and organized sports activities; but they've got to do a lot better with parking; very limited.
