The Harkins Theatre located off Bethany Home Road in Phoenix was a very pleasant surprise. I have frequented this area for many years and never realized a movie theater was tucked away behind the surrounding restaurants and buffet. It wasn’t until I accidentally made a wrong turn that I discovered the theater, conveniently located just behind Walmart and nestled in the Christown Spectrum Mall area at 1703 West Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ 85015 (near the intersection of Bethany Home & 19th Avenue) — making it quite easy to find once you know where it is. I recently visited this theater to watch the second part of Wicked, which was surprisingly difficult to find showing in other nearby theaters. I was happy to see that this location had showtimes available. From the moment I walked in, the theater made a positive impression. The lobby and hallways were clean, well organized, and welcoming. The overall atmosphere felt comfortable and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a movie. The staff was professional, friendly, and efficient, which added to the positive experience. Restrooms were clean and well stocked, which is always appreciated. The concession area was another highlight—service was smooth, popcorn was hot and fresh, and everything was well presented. While this Harkins location does not offer the newer dine-in experience with food and drinks delivered to your seat, it still provides a classic and enjoyable movie-going experience. The seating was comfortable but not plush as in the newer theaters , and the theater was clean with good sound and screen quality. Overall, the Harkins Theatre on Bethany Home Road feels like a hidden gem in Phoenix. It offers a clean environment, professional staff, and a comfortable setting to enjoy current films. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a straightforward, enjoyable, and hassle-free movie experience. The only thing missing is the upgrades such as reclined plush seating, drinks and food delevirey.

We went to watch Weapons on Wednesday evening we were in theater 14. We picked seats in Row K seat 6 7 8. Those seats were wrapped in plastic. After we addressed management and brought it to their attention we were moved to other seats. No explanation was given why the seats were covered. Fans were out in the hallways and wet floor signs.

The place had an old school vibe that felt more worn out than charming, with tacky floors and bathrooms that needed some attention. Even though the theater needed a good cleaning, the picture and sound were solid, the popcorn was hot and the staff tried hard. I did not love it but I did not hate it and I might go back on a quieter night with some hand sanitizer.

I went to Harkins Christown 14 in Phoenix last weekend and had a fantastic movie experience. The auditorium was clean, the seats were comfortable with great sightlines, and the sound was really immersive. The ticketing process was smooth (I booked online), and there was plenty of parking right outside. Concessions were quick and tasty, and the overall atmosphere felt friendly and relaxed, perfect for a date night or casual outing. If you're looking for a solid cinema in Phoenix, this place definitely delivers.

On the screens in the lobby has fake advertising saying that they have upgraded seats that recline WRONG.. the theater was so cramped the person next to me might as well had been sitting on my lap. They didn't stop talking through the hour and 20 minutes we stayed in the rated R movie. On top of it some woman had the nerve to bring a baby into the movie so was listening to her kid crying and mmming through most the movie. At least the management refunded 2 tickets for us but still movies these days cost an upwards of 100+ dollars for a family of 4 to enjoy other people could have so consideration.. "youths"
