Harkins Valley Art Theatre

My daughter and I bored from the COVID-19 so we decided to just go for a drive and ran into this super cool nostalgic movie theater! We didnt get to go in due to COVID-19. Which is understandable but I have been on Mill Ave a hundred times and never noticed this place. When things open back up, my daughter and I will definitely watch a movie there.

Really disgusting how the city of Tempe never reopened one of its Crown Jewels. They close everything else down from when I was a kid (I’m 25 btw) but they can’t seem to keep this place open when it’s the first Harkins Theater. Really disgusting how tempe wants to become corporate Disneyland all in the name of “Progress” but can’t even to care about what made Tempe Tempe.

Love this place! It's worth the drive from Buckeye, AZ. Mr. Harkins has the best movie theaters with an amazing movie-going experience.

This is such a cool movie theater! This is one of the original Harkins and it only has one screening room. The interior looks dated and the exterior goes for that nostalgic feel, they do it well and it's really amazing! They do play Indy movies so don't expect to see the common top box movies here. Very cute vintage style theatre! There’s only one viewing room, but the seats are comfy and it’s well maintained. Ticket prices are definitely affordable, and they have lots of indie movies here which is great!
