I genuinely cannot believe I am writing this. After running the Mesa Marathon and visiting family, I decided to extend our stay at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel & Casino so my kids and I could enjoy the pool and relax. I booked and paid for what I clearly stated was a two-night stay at the front desk Saturday night. I was charged over $600 — which aligned with the nightly rate — and took possession of the room. The next day, while out enjoying our vacation, I received a call telling me I had to return immediately and vacate the room. Imagine being on vacation with your children and being told you have to rush back because the hotel gave your room away. The supervisor, Nataly, informed me that an online reservation made THAT MORNING took priority over a guest who was already checked in and paid. I was told the previous desk employee “made a mistake” and only entered one night. Somehow that became my problem. I was forced out at 12 PM. The “solution”? Switch rooms — except the second room was dirty and I was told I could not access it until after 3 PM. So let me get this straight: You remove a paying, checked-in guest at noon and then make them wait hours for a dirty replacement room? When I expressed how unacceptable this was, Nataly could not have cared less. Her attitude was dismissive, condescending, and shockingly unprofessional. There was zero empathy, zero ownership, and zero customer service. The only bright spot in this entire situation was an employee named Jack, who apologized multiple times and genuinely tried to help. He mentioned he is studying management — and based on this experience, he would make a far better supervisor than the one currently in place. At least he understood what hospitality means. I have been a Caesars Rewards member since 2005 and have stayed at multiple Caesars properties. I have never been treated this poorly. Being forced out of a room you paid for, with your children, because an online booking “takes priority” over a physical guest on property is beyond unacceptable. Considering the long drive down narrow roads to a remote location with limited surrounding options, this experience makes it impossible for me to ever return. Harrah’s, do better. Your brand deserves better leadership on property. One of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever had.

I went to celebrate my birthday, with some friends, who had a $ 100 comp for food, and they treated me to dinner. We were having a great time, until I went from one machine to another, I had to go to the restroom, and I know that I put my ticket on my left side of my coat, and when I returned to play a machine I put my players club card in the machine, and I was looking for my ticket, I couldn't find. I immediately went to security and informed a security officer, that I had lost my ticket of $ 200 and change, and Ms.Melinda Fischer started doing her job to locate my ticket, and I asked Her if she void my ticket so it couldn't be cashed, She then told me that she couldn't do it, and about that time Mr.Raven Fugate approached me and introduced him self, and He asked me if I wanted to press charges if the person who took my ticket and played in a different machine. They were professional at first, and they than changed their attitude, and informed me that I had left the ticket in the machine, and their was nothing they could do. I than ask Mr.Fugate to do a row back and see if I left the ticket in the machine or if I dropped it from my coat pocket, and He told me He couldn't do it, Ms. Fischer told me that it was my fault, and that was it.I told both that I use to be a security guard at Lone Butte, and we would void the ticket, and do a roll back to find the person who picked up the ticket, and we got the ticket from the person who found it, and returned it to the original owner. The Gila River Casino was always taking care of their players, we were taught to look at the machines for tickets and ìf we found one we got a slot attendant to cash it out go go to the cage for safe keeping until some one that they lost their ticket. I immediately asked Ms. Fischer and Mr.Fugate for contact number in which they both provided their cards.I didn't disrespect them in any way or form.I maintain a cordial disposition. I than informed them both that I was going to file a formal complaint with TGA, and I asked for the person who was the Main Casino Manager and the corporate phone number. I than went and found my friends and watched her play. I didn't make a scene and we left when she was ready. I as a security guard tried to make our customers feel safe, not Harrahs ,on the way home my friends and I decided we are not coming back to any Harrah property, we have stayed in Laughlin, and Las Vegas, but no more, we don't feel safe. We are going to closer casinos to Mesa. John Micheal can verify my demeanor, we both worked at Lone Butte together, when He worked for Ovations.I lost $200 but Harrah lost a lot more.Harrah isn't appealing any longer just another Casino. I have supported Harrah for over 20 years

Jayne Caesars rewards concierge women was polite and prompt . She assisted me in getting signed up and accessing my new member bonuses. The young lady that checked me in was very helpful is well I’m upset I forgot her name but she lost her voice and was still able to accurately assist me. The room was nice but few issues with cleanliness. There was a toenail in the bed and long strands of hair left on both the sink and shower floor. The casino has real people dealers which is very important to me. Loved the slot choices I left a winner! Chop Block & brew Denise our waitress gave great recommendations. The salmon blacken had a nice flavor and moist inside. The mashed potatoes were cooked perfectly with a nice garlic sauce. The bone in steak was also cooked to perfection with such a tender melt in your mouth texture. The blueberry margarita was nicely prepared with a good amount of tequila. The blueberry lemon drop lacked liquor as none was tasted. The table linen that held the silverware did have a cooked oil stench like old and dirty, that did affect my appetite. I wouldn’t suggest the Caesar salad as the dressing has a tangy-sour aftertaste.

It’s a nice hotel/casino situation happening here. Cleaner than most of the ones I’ve been to (especially the Vegas hotels) and doesn’t smell like stale cigarettes and beer anywhere except the smoking sections of the casino. The casino is a good size but not huge, which is good because you don’t feel trapped inside it like the ones in Vegas. Good air control though. Location wise it’s a bit “out there” but not so far from Phoenix to be uncomfortable. BEWARE THE SMELL OF COW POOP! Not kidding. Apparently the hotel is surrounded by farms, so if you go out by the pool you feel like you’re sitting in a pressure chamber of poop smelling air. The pool area is stunning, but I’m not sure I could hang out there long. Also I’d love some affordable coffee on premises. On a brighter note, the staff at the hotel is super nice and friendly. Overall I’d probably stay here again (good for a short stay).

Hubs and I wanted to have a nice romantic staycay getaway for just the two of us. We had heard that this place was amazing and very reasonable priced. That was not our take at all. We first arrived and we checked in no warm welcome. Very confusing check in set up. We got to our room and we had been given 3 keys but no reason was to why. We tried to turn on the ac and it did not work below 75F . I went back downstairs and asked why the ac was not working. I was told at first that it sho7be working if we put a key by the front door and not to remove it or the ac would go off again. I we t back upstairs and to,d my husband and we sat there and tried to relax. However he started to have an asthma attack really bad. I called down to the front and advised them if would could switch rooms, we were told due to us being there for an extended period of time we could not move rooms. We also asked if there was any rooms that had balcony doors that could open and the guy said no. Funny bc we were looking right out the window and saw the balcony door… We spoke to a supervisor and she said we could transfer rooms but we would have to pay the difference between our room and the new room. We agreed , moved rooms bug it did not help. We were miserable and the room still stunk was smaller and we were charged more for less. We could not sleep well .my husband kept his I g asthma attacks and did not rest well at all. After our Check out the next day they charge our card a total of like 260.00 bucks for one night. They said there was a 50 extra hold in case of room charges we were never told this. They did end up crediting the 50 fee and the room change charge We were totally unhappy with the entire time and did not enjoy and of it at all. we will definitely not be going bsck. Communication is definitely lacking, room cleanliness is terrible. They entire night was horrible.
