I came here a little while back and toured with James, who was so helpful and professional during my visit! This community is so cute and has beautiful upgrades in the homes.

I moved into one of their "classic" units in March and paid a $300 deposit. The unit was extremely old and outdated with banged up cabinets and old flooring that looked like it had not been changed since 1985. After 6 months, I transferred to another upgraded unit and paid another $300 deposit plus $500 transfer fee. I asked the leasing office if I should patch the holes in the walls of the old unit or just clean it up, and they said it was not necessary to patch the holes, because they had to repaint anyway. After turning in my keys and living in the new unit for a few weeks, I was surprised to receive a move-out statement that said I still owed $63.40, and I could not view the statement on the app. When I saw the statement, I was shocked and angered that they appeared to have done something shady with their accounting to use up my entire deposit and still charge me more. When looking at the itemized statement, it was so long, I was very confused. Looking at the details, I noticed they had charged $10 for a final bill fee, $175 in miscellaneous allocated utilities (apparently for the community), and $125 to fill the holes in the wall and clean the old carpet in the bedroom. They are clearly taking advantage of residents with fictitious fees in the move-out statements. As a resident, I experienced extremely slow and bad maintenance service sometimes taking weeks to complete a small task, which I believe is illegal. Secondly, one of the 2 maintenance people harassed me in my home shortly after my original move-in. When seeing me having difficulty walking after injuring my ankle on the property, he mocked me for having a disability and demanded details of my medical condition. This is a shady and unprofessional place to call home.

I've been living here for almost 3 years and I still love this complex. Clean, great amenities, and a prime location. Danielle and Issean from the leasing office are great. Any maintenance issues I have had have been fixed same day. It's quiet and the rent is reasonable, and they have done minimal increases over all my lease terms and have never priced me out of a place to live. I would give 10 stars if I could. :)

Overall, it’s a nice complex and we will probably re-sign next year. We moved from Indiana and the staff was super helpful and responsive with us to help us sign here. The community manager (S/O Karyn) is so sweet. Our rent is a bit pricier than we first calculated, however, with the bulk utilities so keep that in mind. There is NO grace period for rent but I guess that’s Scottsdale. But with the location it’s not too bad. They take really good care of the property. It’s pretty quiet and feels safe here. The casitas are AWESOME too!

*** Update: May 2021 *** And I am back at Hayden Park Apartments. :-) This time I am in a renovated 2BR/2BA Casita and I truly love it. There were a few issues that came up shortly after move in, but the maintenance was stellar and got them all addressed quickly and efficiently. ***Update: Aug 2020 **** I recently moved out, for a variety of reasons, but thoroughly enjoyed living at Hayden Park Apartments. The Office and Maintenance staff are all excellent and truly care about the residents. *********************************************************** Posted in 2017: I have lived here since August 2016 and truly love it. Although I have an un-refurbished apartment I am quite happy with it. The layout is very comfortable, the storage/utility closet is spacious enough that I can store my camping gear and 2 bicycles (but only because I don't have a washer/dryer), and the patio is perfect. The laundry facilities feature plenty of machines and are well-maintained as is the pool. The office staff is very friendly, personable, professional and helpful; and the maintenance staff are superb. The community itself is nice as well. All of the other residents I have met have been friendly and I have encountered no troublesome residents. I definitely plan to live here for several years. :-)
