Texas-style BBQ in Tucson with brisket, St. Louis ribs, and homemade sides.

Laid back service , casually checking. Atmosphere was roomy and open with wood floors. We ate the Old School platter and was plenty for two people. Delicious and moist brisket and tender sausage. Sides we has were beans and Mac n Cheese both were great. Reasonably priced Parking lot is a bit torn up so take it slow.

This is my favorite barbecue in all of Tucson! I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and haven’t had a bad item yet! The brisket, no matter what cut you get is amazingly tender with great smoke flavor. The tri-tip can be cut with a fork and doesn’t make you think of tri-tip at all, more like prime rib. The smoked turkey is the best I’ve had, the ribs are fall-off-bone, smoked just right and all the sides are perfect compliments to any of the meats. I’ve never had to wait to be seated for more than 5 minutes, and the greeters and wait staff are all friendly and welcoming! I will definitely keep coming here for as long as possible!

I only make it to this restaurant a couple of times per year as I live in Phoenix. The brisket is always perfect. The service is fast. My server today was Brandi S. She was awesome. Sweet, kind and efficient. I'll see you again, Holy Smokin' Butts!

All of the food was great. Fairly priced and flavorful. I had the coyote (crosscut) and it was enough to fill me up with a side or two. There was a bucket on the table for sauces/salt & pepper. We brought a toddler and they had booster seats and high chairs. The waitress was very thoughtful and asked if our toddler wanted an extra plate. The place was clean and very open. The music wasn't too loud either.

We had some appointments in the area and were getting hungry. We searched Google Maps and agreed that a BBQ meal was a good option for the day. As we walked into Holy Smokin Butts, we were greeted in a friendly manner and escorted to our table. The staff gave a warm and friendly first impression. As we looked through the menu, our waitress came over and asked if this was our first time visit. We said yes, and instinctively, she directed our attention to The Big Q Platter and explained how it was a good way to get a sample of their offerings. In less than a minute, our choices were made, and within a few more minutes, our platter was sitting on our table. The brisket, tri-tip, sausage, turkey, pulled pork, and ribs were delicious. For a family of two, there was enough left over to take some home for what turned out to be two more meals! Overall, we were impressed with the friendly staff, atmosphere, and The Big Q Platter. Conclusion? Holy Smokin Butts BBQ is definitely on our list of restaurants to visit again.
