HonorHealth Urgent Care - Anthem (Gavilan Peak)

Efficient flow and nice staff. I think the NP could take a little more time with patients, I understand focused assessments but she spent maybe 3 minutes with me. My daughter was seen just before me, and had the same experience. She seemed as if she was afraid to touch a patient- look in ears, assess throat, check lymph nodes. That used to be standard practice.

Several years ago I left this practice, I made a choice of driving +25 miles to go to the doctor rather than deal with this clinic. This time I considered going to Nextcare, but decided for Honorhealth. I was pleasantly surprised with my visit, it was fast, and all members of the stuff were very nice and professional.

The facility was overcrowded with nearly a 2 hour wait, however I do know Mondays are the busiest day of the week. The front desk and radiologist were very friendly and attentive however I cannot, with good conscience, say the same for the attending PA. She obviously did not believe I was in any sort of pain nor did she listen to what I was explaining to her regarding passing a kidney stone. After reading the results of my urinalysis, she mentioned I had traces of blood in my sample; she was actually taken back when I mentioned I wasn’t surprised by the result as I had seen blood earlier during the weekend. Only then did she treat me differently. In looking over the paperwork afterwards she had not even marked my pain in the right area and said she was looking for another issue that we hadn’t even discussed. I would ONLY recommend going to this facility if you had no other choice and highly suggest you be prepared to truly advocate for whatever your needs are.

Had to be treated for something urgent but not critical. Made an appointment for first thing Monday morning and was diagnosed and out within 45 minutes - extremely quick, in my opinion, for an urgent care! The medication prescribed was spot on and I was feeling better within hours. The staff was professional, thoughtful, and expressed appropriate concern for my visit. Highly recommended!!!

There was no care at all. Paid $250 for the nurse practitioner to look me over and say “I’m stumped.” No suggestions, no compassion. She wasn’t even willing to try to figure out what’s wrong with me. She said she didn’t think it was mono, but wanted to test me just in case. Test was negative. She came back in and told me she had no idea, and said I should go to the emergency room if it gets worse. That was it. Sent me home with a swollen neck, trouble swallowing, and no answers.
