HonorHealth Urgent Care - Chandler (West Ray Road)

I was admitted to observation from the ED, I had 2 of the BEST nurses caring for me: Martha during the overnight, and Katie during the daytime. They were both very attentive and helpful. They were both great to talk to as well. They took my needs/wants very seriously and made sure that I was comfortable. The PCT that admitted me (Nova!) was sweet and kind, and very quietly professional. The overnight hospitalist (Dr Wen? Dr Ngyuen?) listened to me and made sure that I had something to take care of the migraine that dominated. Dr D Shah and Dr Weston listened, and explained my situation with humor that was appreciated. Dr Ngyuen (the daytime doctor) was also funny, but reassuring, and treated me with respect. The volunteer lady came through with a flower and an origami, which made me feel a little less alone.( I’ll admit it did make me tear up!) Robert, the PCT who discharged me to our car, was patient and respectful. Overall, my first experience going inside a hospital (period!) in Arizona was a good one. I was very happy with my care.

I’ll start with why I only did 4 stars: The nurse or MA was supposed to give my son a dose of steroids for his asthma, asked me and I consented, and then informed me only after I gave consent, that she added ibuprofen in it. I did not want him to take that, nor do I even trust that she even gave him any steroids bc the medicine didn’t even work. I should have said no, but she just put it in my hand to give to him. That’s on me too, but medical staff should not add what is not prescribed. Check in and wait time was great.

I was able to walk in with no appointment. Staff in front were professional and pleasant. Answered my questions and guided me through check in process. Facility is clean and you can tell they are following a protocol throughout the process. Doctor was knowledgeable, explained everything clearly and was kind. I would highly recommend this urgent care facility.

I came as a walk in at a busy part of the day. The front desk gal checks you in. You don’t have to fill out anything. The wait was maybe a minute? Seeing the doc took 10 mins. All he had to do was look at something and he knew exactly what to do. I think I must have been there overall 15-20 mins. Clean facility. Easy to find. Friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back (well, hopefully I won’t need to. But if so, I’ll be going back). Dr. Kevin was great.

NP Brenda was very short and condescending with her answers. She cut us off prior to us finishing any questions. She had her back turned to us while talking almost the entire time. The rest of the staff were very friendly, helpful & efficient.
