Jacobs Park Dog Park

The signs says that it’s closed every week for maintenance, finding that hard to believe! There are nice shade trees, the benches are no where near them. There is also agility equipment but the grass/weeds need mowing and big holes filled in. And apparently nobody picks up after their dogs because there was poop everywhere, even in the fountain for dogs but it didn’t work anyway! Would not recommend.

A lot of homeless people. But park is beautiful and they mow every Monday. Beautiful park. Wish we could address homeless situation, so we could have a family park again. I'm sorry for the situation they are in, but we have family, children, pets that wants to enjoy area. But really difficult now.

Don't go to this park. My dogs got stickers and thorns in their paws within minutes and hobbled around (see picture: my dog is unable to put that foot down without whimpering), unable to run or play. The water features don't work and the environment was overall dirty and unpleasant. We won't be returning.

This park is poorly maintained. Garbage everywhere. The entrance gate is broken. Unacceptable.

I had to pull 7 sharp objects out of my dog's paw while here. It seemed nice until every where he walked in the park made him limp from sharp thorns and the like, getting stuck in his pads.
