⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Across the Board — Wine, Service, Vibes, Cat. From the first pour to the final sip, Javelina Leap Vineyard & Winery delivers exactly what a great winery should: exceptional wine, genuine hospitality, and a tasting room with real personality—not the manufactured kind. Let’s start with the wine, because it deserves to lead. Simply put, these are some of the best wines I’ve tasted in Arizona. Balanced, expressive, and confident—each glass felt intentional rather than experimental. No gimmicks. No excuses. Just outstanding wine. We arrived slightly battle-worn after two prior winery visits that were… let’s call them educational. With only 30 minutes before closing, we expected polite tolerance at best. Instead, we were welcomed like old friends. Enter Steve, the bartender—though “bartender” doesn’t quite cover it. His knowledge, pride, and ability to articulate nuance made it clear early on: this wasn’t just someone pouring wine; this was someone representing it. We honestly concluded he must be the owner, because no one else would speak with that level of care, passion, and detail. Every pour came with context, insight, and just enough storytelling to make you want to stay longer (which we did). The tasting room itself strikes the perfect balance between warmth and character. Humor without trying too hard. Local artistry that feels curated, not cluttered. A space that invites conversation rather than rushing you out the door. It feels authentic—like a winery tasting room should. And then there’s Meeche the cat. Thick. Confident. Clearly living his best life fueled by meats, cheeses, and good decisions. Meeche isn’t just a mascot—he’s a vibe check. If a place can keep a cat that relaxed and well-fed, you know they’re doing something right. Great wine. Exceptional service. Real personality. Zero pretension. If you’re looking for a winery that understands both craftsmanship and hospitality, Javelina Leap absolutely leaps ahead of the pack 🍷

Really good winery to take a break and taste very good wine. The staff is friendly and informative, and they have a wide variety of tasting choices.

We stopped in after a day of hiking in Sedona and had a great time. The service was very efficient in spite of there being only one person to help an entire room full of people doing tastings. The wines themselves were great and we had a nice time doing the tasting while our 4-year old ran around in their expansive grounds, playing with the bags set and bocce balls. I'd recommend to anyone, especially with kids in tow.

Had a lovely time at this Sedona area vinyard. There was live-music and we played a board game and enjoyed a flight of wine in the late afternoon. Beautiful property too!

Our wine tour stopped at this winery. We decided to have the sangria. It was delicious. Lovely place with live music
