K1 Speed Phoenix

I’m extremely disappointed with the experience we had at this K1 race track tonight. What should have been a fun and competitive race turned into a completely frustrating and unfair situation. It was very obvious that the two employees working were running their buddies’ karts at a faster speed than the rest of the field. Instead of letting racing play out naturally, they repeatedly threw blue flags at our group to force us to move over and let their friends pass — even though those drivers weren’t skilled enough to make clean passes on their own with much faster karts. After the race, one of the employees came up and asked if we knew what a blue flag meant. Yes, I know what a blue flag means. What I’m not going to do is ruin my own race experience because staff decided to turn up their friends’ karts to give them an unfair advantage. That’s not racing — that’s frustrating! If you’re going here, make sure you ask upfront whether all karts are running at the same speed. If they’re not, demand to be placed in a different race or take your business somewhere else. It completely ruins the experience when staff favor their buddies, especially when you’re paying premium prices. I’ve spent nearly $1,000 over three nights, and this is how we’re treated? It’s absolutely not worth the money for such a biased and unprofessional experience. To be fair to the employees for the first two nights, it was a much better experience and they made it enjoyable. We won’t be back.

Short staffed, slow service , 1/5 stars. We went to two other places in Phoenix. Much better experience. Day & Night difference. This place is ok for kids 12 & under. They need management to be present and get everyone focused.

Phil went above and beyond to make sure that me and my daughter had a great experience. This was our first time racing and we had so much fun. Definitely recommend K1 Speed to anyone looking to have fun with friends and family. Great customer service, which isn't prioritized in America much these days. We will definitely be back. Nichole, thank you for your response as I do understand how it works and I’ve been to multiple other K1 locations. That is not what happened on the night in question. The previous night we were running at the faster speeds because of our past driving experiences. Your two employees were clearly buddies with the other drivers and their karts were tuned up despite the fact they were not great drivers. I understand you trying to cover for your employees, but we will not be returning to your location in the future.
