Kennedy Park

I performed my first Marriage Ceremony as an Ordained Minister for family at Kennedy Park. It was a beautiful day and the ducks and geese provided a beautiful backdrop for our photos.

What a pleasant escape from the city and desert right in the middle! Beautiful little lake, nice refuge for the waterfowl and other fauna. Too bad people don't treat it with respect! The grounds had trash and people just walked by it like it wasn't there and then left more trash of their own. After having my lunch I went around and picked up what I could see. Grateful for the nice escape, regardless.

Park and bathrooms clean when I was there. Plenty of ramadas. Luv ❤️ the Lake.

I picked up an avocado toast and green juice, sat in the shaded ramada and enjoyed the ducks in the distance. It was the best way to start the day. Few folk around. I sat under the shade trees and enjoyed the various types of ducks and noises. A young family was fishing. Some walked around the lake. It's 98 degrees, definitely cooler in the shade by the water. Nice quiet meditative moment. Easy parking because it was hot. There's a place to BBQ, garbage cans were empty. Ramada 10 is closest to the lake and shade trees. Book well ahead. A huge bird landed in a tree. It had a white upper chest, photo attached.

Beautiful park, the road can be a bit confusing but there's plenty of parking. Plenty of wildlife and greenery. The bathrooms were, however, FOUL and none of the stalls had doors.
