Some like it hot! Los Dos Molinos is famous for their fiery New Mexican cuisine. Their Carne Adovada and Chile Rellenos are legendary. Not for the faint of heart!

We tried a variety of dinner dishes 2 tamales rice and beans. Chili relleno, Chorizo dip. We came back a second day we tried the tacos a disappointed with the taco shells I think they are pre-made instead of cooking it made to order. Everything was excellent and very spicy. If you like spicy this is the place for you. We will be back to try different dinner options.

Extremely Overpriced and Poor Customer Service Decided to try this place out and experience for myself and find out what all that social media hype was all about. There is nothing special about this place as you walk in. This is a very small dark hole in the wall div-ish restaurant bar type of atmosphere. No menu but a digital QR code which unfortunately was not opening however, on another review response from the management comment that a menu is availalbe upon request but nowere in the restaurant does it mentions that. By the time the waiter approached the table I had not seen the menu but I had an idea of what to order. I mentioned "I can't open the menu via QR code but I am looking for green chicken enchiladas. He immediately proceeded to ask if I wanted 1 or 2 which I thought was strange. I mentioned 2 and then he said "do you want rice and beans with your order"? I said yes to rice and beans and then he asked, "Do you want sour cream and guac? I responded with no sour cream but kept the "guac". About 15 mins the plate comes out and first impression good spice to the green salsa due to the what I assumed was the Hatch green chile salsa as they pride on since this is a New Mexican, style Mexican food restaurant but nothing special just your plain green chicken enchilada plate and no different than any other I've tried in my lifetime not just here in Arizona but in other locations across country to due my line of work including Mexico. I have been surprised by other Mexican food locations like Ohio, Minnesota and North Carolina just to name a few, for example, that are owned by people that at one point in time they migrated from South Mexico, and settled in those locations and opened a restaurant with mouth watering authentic mexican flavor. I am usully very curious and asked were are the owners from and get a feel from the flavor. Anyways, as I asked for my check I was blown away from the cost of my order and 2 beers. I have attached a copy of my check but it was $48.55 or 3.25% less if paid in cash. When I expressed my disbelief at being charged $35.00 for a plate of enchiladas, he showed no concern for my complaint. Instead of acknowledging my feedback, he immediately responded by saying that they make everything from "scratch" and that they've been in business for over 20 years without any issues. The restaurant is very small, I remained polite, to avoid attracting the attention of other customers but the pricing simply didn't make sense. These are basic enchiladas--tortillas dipped in oil, rolled with chicken, and topped with green salsa and cheese. This was nowhere near a fine‑dining entrée that might justify a $35 plate price tag. There's nothing premium or unique enough about the dish or environment to support that cost. I almost mentioned that I didn't notice any pasture‑raised chickens outside or evidence of tortillas being freshly made. There was absolutely no customer service or willingness to listen, no matter what I tried to explain. As I walked out, another employee asked if everything was okay. I said, "No, I won't be coming back," and all I received in response was, "Have a nice day, sir." I do not recommend this place. Save yourself the trip to South Mountain and your hard‑earned money. The food is simply not worth the overpriced "made from scratch" claim. There is another restaurant about a mile north on Central--Tacos Mi Ranchito Mexican Grill--where similar plates cost around $15-$16 and taste just as good, if not better.

We’ve eaten at Los Dos off Central for 8 years and absolutely love the atmosphere, food and the staff. We highly recommend you try any of the locations for authentic New Mexico Mexican food. 😋🙏🏼

My wife and I went on a motorcycle ride to the top of South Mountain and decided to grab a bite to eat on the way down..This was the first place we saw. We were instantly greeted and brought to our table. The entire experience was perfect - service, food, value, vibe. Will definitely be returning.

We stopped into Los Dos Molinos while back in Phoenix, and after our 20-year absence, it was a complete joy to see that Los Dos is still serving up the hottest son-of-a-gun food in all of Arizona. The place continues to have that easygoing “just doing it our way” vibe you know and love it for, and it remains our favorite New Mexican chile-it-up restaurant on the planet. Clearly a lot of people feel that way, since even at an off hour in the middle of a summer afternoon, you’ll find locals in there savoring the F&B. If the delicious dishes start to singe your tastebuds, don’t forget to order a pitcher of the heartiest margaritas in town (or at least a flavored iced tea). Los Dos is the best of the best!
