I think I may have found the best hidden gem Mexican restaurant in Phoenix! The reviews weren't lying on this one folks! I walked from the hospital to wait for my ride and it was so worth it! I had burrito and fresh carrot juice. So fresh and filling and I ate every last bite! Did I mention, the service was attentive and friendly?

I’ve visited this restaurant several times now, and each experience has been a treat. Most recently, I brought my family along and we all left happy and full. I ordered a burger and a mangoneada, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. For dessert, I highly recommend the fresas con crema-they’re always fresh, sweet, and the perfect way to end a meal. One thing to note: the tables are a bit close together, so it can feel a little cramped, especially when it’s busy and you’re trying to navigate around other guests. This isn’t really a spot I’d choose for a quiet or intimate atmosphere, but it’s worth visiting for the food. The restaurant can get quite crowded and quite loud on weekends, so be prepared for a possible wait and slightly slower service during peak hours.

Oh my gosh! I cannot believe that I have not been to this place in over 7 years. I tried my favorite dish, green chili chicken enchiladas. The verde sauce flavors are just amazing with a zing of spice. Rice is great! I did order a $5 Tostada de Ceviche! Perfect! Cane with a few slices of avocado and fresh limes. Great appetizer right before the main dish. Service was quick. Plates came out hot. Waitress was tentative to my party of three speaking both Spanish and English. Superior job everyone! I’ll see you again soon. 🫶🏼🤓🫶🏼

My “atmosphere” rating is based on the fact this is not the kind of restaurant you come to if you’re looking for “atmosphere”. This is a no frills, “we’re about the food” kind of place and the food is the value. The food served here is along the lines of Mexican food found in the interior of the country and NOT New Mexican, Sonoran, or California/Baja style Mexican food. The portions are large and everything I’ve tried is good but Los Reyes is known for their tortas and you can’t miss with one of their tortas. Bring a big appetite !

The servers are beautiful Latinas, everyone looks sharp and super attentive. The Agua Fresca’s are absolutely perfect. Everything on the menu is awesome, this place will not disappoint your taste buds. Good for small and medium size groups. Sunday is normally super busy. The menudo is Bomb!!! If you’re looking for something a little different from the rest, give it a shot.
