Wonderful place for an outing. Whether for a picnic, walk along the river or fishing. And on a good day you get to see wild horses. Several trails along the river. Saw people fishing along the banks and off the rocks. Plenty of parking and easy access.

This picnic sote is absolutely beautiful. The walk down to the water is pretty easy and straight forward. The scenery is very nice. Please keep it clean and enjoy this wonderful spot.

Love going to this site! Not too far from the city outskirts yet miles away from traffic and hustle bustle. Lots of parking, places to set up and hang out, may even see the horses!

Phon D Sutton is a very popular spot for Lower Salt River access. It's a well used spot for kayakers & paddle boarders to put in and take out. But it gets extremely busy with picnickers during the summer weekends & holidays . Two big problems at Phon D are that people put up their canopies on the edge of the water and block paddlers from putting in and taking out. And the area gets extremely littered with trash during these times. Thankfully there are groups of volunteer river lovers who graciously give their time to clean up after the litterers. While people know that littering is not allowed, there should be signs with a fine warning to remind people to pick up after themselves. There are restrooms but the one closest to the picnic tables is very stinky and sitting at the closest table can be bad when the wind blows that direction.
