Macayo's Mexican Food - Mesa

Our family has loved Macayo's for decades, and our experience here was another great one. We had a disappointing experience at the Tempe location, and decided to get up, leave, and try this location instead. We were immediately relieved by the attentive and kind staff, quick and tasty food, and chill, pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend Macayo's, and definitely make the 10 minute drive to this one over the Tempe location!

Food was great and price is reasonable. Ambience was good. Place is beside a lake. It took 15 min for someone to meet us and have us seated, and that was around 3.30pm and the waitress messed my order and almost forgot to give our drinks.

This was my first time here. The food was pretty typical Mexican cuisine however the waitress was awesome and gave great service. That service would bring me back again to try something different from the menu.

The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and every recommendation Hailey offered was spot‑on. The food was the real star. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell the chefs put genuine care into every detail—from the freshness of the ingredients to the thoughtful combinations on the plate. My personal favorite was the entrée, which was cooked to perfection and seasoned flawlessly. Service was prompt, the portions were generous, and the prices felt more than fair for the quality. It’s rare to find a place that nails ambiance, service, and food all at once, but this restaurant absolutely does. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I would recommend asking for Hailey!

Food, Service and Atmosphere were amazing. Our server Hailey was the standard that all servers should be measured by. She was always there we needed something. Also offered suggestions on her favorites. Never had to ask for anything. She just brought it like she was reading our minds. Highly recommend this joint. Great experience!!!
