Guy Fieri definitely put us on with this one 🔥🍳 We first saw this downtown Phoenix breakfast spot on YouTube when it was a tiny location — and now it’s fully expanded and remodeled. The space is beautiful with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We went on a Monday morning and it was still busy, but not so packed that we couldn’t sit and enjoy our meal. Everything we ordered was so good. The homemade lemonade honey drink? Unreal. I had the Big Papa Burrito stuffed with chorizo, potatoes, egg, and cheese in a fresh flour tortilla made right here in Phoenix — flavorful, filling, and worth every bite. Bonus points for carrying Arizona-based Gunslinger hot sauce, but their house-made hot sauce was my favorite. And the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Great food, great energy, and reasonably priced. A solid downtown Phoenix breakfast spot. 🔥

First time going. The service was amazing! From the time you walk in till the time you leave the staff was friendly, accommodating, helpful and supportive of their coworkers. I'm guessing the owners may have been assisting as well. If not it was management. The entire staff pitched in, there was no lack or slack. You won't see anyone just standing, every one had motion and it worked well. The restaurant was clean and the customers even interacted with one another, gave it a nice welcoming environment. The food was pretty good, I had the pancakes and side of bacon. I wasn't a fan of the peppered bacon but the family enjoyed it. My son had the burger and it was pretty tasty. My mom had the BLT, the tomatoe slices were nice and thick, I just ate them off my son burger and my mom's BLT they didn't mind LOL. Overall we enjoyed the visit and the food and will go back when on that side of town. Oh the wait when we arrived was minimal, but as we were leaving there was a bit of a line.

Lets take some time and learn a little about Matt's Big Breakfast! This is a charming Breakfast/ lunch place. I love the atmosphere and I thin6they are doing a great job! We had 6 of us there and we over all enjoyed our experience! I had the big papa burrito and it was just ok. It was supposed to smothered with sauce and it didn't have near enough on it for my liking and I had to add a lot of hot sauce to make it enjoyable. My son in law got the waffle and he loved it Mt daughter got the pancakes with some eggs and bacon and it was good. The Hashbrowns were really good but needed salt and my other daughter got the avocado toast and she really liked it. All in all is was good! I with I could say it was great! The main things that brought this restaurant down to a 4 star for me was the service. It took like 50 minutes to get our food and the orange juice was not good and the diet cola was terrible!! Im sure theybwere just short staffed because it was the day after Christmas we had to wait like 45 minutes for a table but there were plenty of open tables outside..... like I said probably just under staffed..... The apple juice was good!

We came here around 7:30 am on a Sat morning and it was surprisingly empty. The ambiance is bright, happy, colorful and brings a smile the moment you walk in. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a group of 4 and ordered the 2 of the breakfast veggie scramble special - egg scramble, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, spinach, with sourdough, hash browns and side of egg, the big Pappa Burrito, an avocado toast and orange juice. The portions are big. Veggie options are very limited and they don't do substitutions (gluten free or vegan). The scramble was good. The hash browns were the best part - super delicious, crunchy yet firm. The big Pappa Burrito was ok. I wished it had more punch in flavor. The avocado toast was good. Orange juice was freshly squeezed. Pricing wise, it is on par for the area but I think the prices are a little high for a brunch/breakfast place. Overall, food is good, but not mind-blowing.

THE REAL DEAL! Matt's Big Breakfast in downtown Phoenix is WHERE IT'S AT! I got the Sunday special steak and eggs, and man... it was BOMB! The steak was cooked to perfection, and those eggs... ugh, don't even get me started! I added a side of their thick bacon, and oh man, it was the perfect combo of crispy and chewy. And don't forget the hop and chick .. it was so good! I also got a single griddlecake on the side, and it was fluffy and sweet. Now, let's talk about the service . TOP-NOTCH! Our servers were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. If you're in the area , i must try ..! Lives up to the hype, and I'm coming back for more!
