We had a great time at the Short Course at Mountain Shadows Resort. The course was in excellent condition — the tee boxes and greens were very well maintained, and you can tell they take pride in keeping everything looking sharp. The greens themselves are definitely not very forgiving, and we had more than a few shots roll off with the slopes and some tough pin placements, but honestly that’s part of what made it fun. It adds a real challenge to what could otherwise be “just” a par-3 course. The staff was friendly and welcoming from start to finish, and the on-course service really stood out. The beverage cart came by multiple times (4) during our round, which was appreciated. As for pricing, it’s about what you’d expect for a Paradise Valley location — not cheap, but fair considering the scenery, conditions, and overall resort experience. Overall, it’s a beautiful, challenging short course that’s perfect for a relaxed but still competitive round with friends. We’ll definitely be back. 2/16 26

We so thoroughly enjoyed our trip. It started with a call from the airport. We were checking in to see if our room might be available for an early checking. Dennis reviewed the occupancy and scheduled a room to be ready when we arrived. He went above and beyond. Upon checkout Sydney was so kind and polite! She called us by name and just was so welcoming! We also want to say how much we enjoyed Yaz at the bar. My only recommendation would be to have more associates serving at the pool. All 3 days we were there the poor gentleman was so overworked. With the tournament going on and a full occupancy it would have been good to be on top of that. THANK YOU for a wonderful stay!

Mountain Shadows Resort is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and many feature private balconies & soaking tubs that make it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The staff and service are truly top-notch, welcoming, attentive, and consistently thoughtful. I especially love the fitness offerings: the gym, a dedicated Pilates studio, and an overall wellness-focused vibe that sets this resort apart. The fun, par 3 golf course, two gorgeous pools (one adult-only), and the bar and Hearth 61 restaurant create the perfect balance of activity and relaxation. The location is ideal, with stunning views of Camelback Mountain and Mummy Mountain, and easy access to everything Scottsdale has to offer. Mountain Shadows has a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Highly recommend.

From start to finish we had the most amazing stay! Bella, in Reservations, was so kind and informative when booking. Marissa and Sydnee went above and beyond to make the stay so incredible! The chocolate dipped strawberries were delicious; so fresh and sweet! They also gifted my fiancé free drinks to celebrate her birthday! She was blown away. Ezme was very kind and a great server. We loved the surprise birthday treat! The dining experience at Hearth 61 was perfection! Highly recommend the steak and eggs. Overall, we had the most incredible staycation!

I was apprehensive to book here because the biggest complaint I saw was noise and thin walls. I do like they have a strict 10pm no noise rule. If there was a wedding or event that definitely would have been a deciding factor for us We were upgraded to a pool view which was nice. There was pool noise that first day plenty but fine in the day. We came here to relax and be away from our children for our anniversary so quiet was important for us. We really loved the area and views. We hiked Echo canyon trail and highly recommend it. The red rock surrounding the hotel and hiking area is really great. The rooms and upkeep of the hotel is wonderful! Just what I like to see. The energy , old Scottsdale and hotel pictures , and style is on point. The shower is unique and spacious. The staff was great ! Dennis I believe was his name checked us in. He was great I just wish he shared info on the pool as that night we were searching around for it. We did fine it and wasn't a huge deal. The bed was comfortable and great! The front vanity area was perfect for me to get ready for the day. The room just seemed to have everything we needed and was layout was great.(Minus a fridge but keep reading) The pool was spectacular and clean! Very well kept - definitely a huge bonus here. We really loved it! It doesn't come with a fridge per say but the staff replied back to our text to take out the drawer fridge drinks and use that so it worked out and glad we didn't have to pay for a fridge. So plan accordingly. We did not eat at the restaurant but did want to give breakfast a try, maybe next time! We did get a complimentary drink for our anniversary which was nice. Overall it was a wonderful anniversary staycation and would stay again.
