We had a great time at the Short Course at Mountain Shadows Resort. The course was in excellent condition — the tee boxes and greens were very well maintained, and you can tell they take pride in keeping everything looking sharp. The greens themselves are definitely not very forgiving, and we had more than a few shots roll off with the slopes and some tough pin placements, but honestly that’s part of what made it fun. It adds a real challenge to what could otherwise be “just” a par-3 course. The staff was friendly and welcoming from start to finish, and the on-course service really stood out. The beverage cart came by multiple times (4) during our round, which was appreciated. As for pricing, it’s about what you’d expect for a Paradise Valley location — not cheap, but fair considering the scenery, conditions, and overall resort experience. Overall, it’s a beautiful, challenging short course that’s perfect for a relaxed but still competitive round with friends. We’ll definitely be back. 2/16 26

This was our first time to Scottsdale for golf. Our stay at Mountainshadows was perfect. I absolutely loved the mid century modern architecture and vibes. The hotel is immaculately maintained and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. We played the short course twice and both times it was great. The pro shop and cart attendees ensured we were taken care of at all times. It’s been a while since I have witnessed customer service at this level, it was absolutely refreshing. The little things do matter and the Mountainshadows staff are leaning into that! We will be back.

The hotel and resort are immaculate. Food is great (but expensive, even for Scottsdale). Rooms were quiet even next to the elevators. Beds were super comfy. I would totally stay again. I do wish they didn’t have metal hangers because these jingle so loudly and i did hear that from neighbors, but rarely. They also accommodated a very early check in for me, which was highly appreciated. But my review is mainly for the service. This is a “4+” star hotel with the service of a

Mountain Shadows is our happy place! We have been coming to Scottsdale for 30 plus years and staying at Mountain Shadows the past 5 years. Each year we chose to stay longer. We just finished a 6 week stay in a 2 bedroom co do! The resort is great and the staff is beyond great! We love the restaurant, the bar the pools and especially the golf and the staff there!! If you want a piece of Paradise- visit Paradise Valley and stay at Mountain Shadows!

We so thoroughly enjoyed our trip. It started with a call from the airport. We were checking in to see if our room might be available for an early checking. Dennis reviewed the occupancy and scheduled a room to be ready when we arrived. He went above and beyond. Upon checkout Sydney was so kind and polite! She called us by name and just was so welcoming! We also want to say how much we enjoyed Yaz at the bar. My only recommendation would be to have more associates serving at the pool. All 3 days we were there the poor gentleman was so overworked. With the tournament going on and a full occupancy it would have been good to be on top of that. THANK YOU for a wonderful stay!
