Neighborhood Comedy Theatre

My fiancé wanted to come here as a part of her birthday this year, so a month out I reached out to Dorian to see if they could accommodate 11 guests that we had coming to the show. Not only was he very communicative he reserved our seats and he had a special treat that included my fiancé in a skit. This was our 4th time coming to a show on 2/28 and every time is incredibly fun! We love the new space and am so grateful for Dorian and everyone else that was on stage. I will say this show was the best one yet. Not only because of a personal touch for my fiancés birthday but because every single person on stage is so good and you can tell they love having fun and making people laugh. Thank you for everything—see you next time!

My husband and I went to NCT for a date night. The improv show we went to was on a Friday evening and I can’t think of a better way to end the work week. Laughing that hard was seriously therapeutic! We bought sodas and popcorn at the front. The popcorn was tasty. Then we grabbed two seats (open seating, which can also accommodate those in wheelchairs or with physical disabilities). Amy was the host and she was fantastic at engaging the audience. All the players were truly hilarious, creative and so talented. We had a blast! Overall, NCT was a great choice for a date night. While we were there we learned some shows are actually clean family-friendly comedy (no cursing) so we are planning to bring our daughter to a show! This would be a great evening activity if you have family visiting from out of town :)

Tl;dr: NCT is pure charm! It was my first introduction to improv, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They are small, local, incredibly passionate, and the perfect place to start your improv journey or just catch an engaging, affordable show. Located on the bustling but charming Main Street, it’s a vital part of a growing district and now, with "The Sacred Pint," it's an ideal date-night destination! The Neighborhood Comedy Theater (NCT) holds a very special place in my heart—it’s where I first fell in love with improv. While there are bigger stages out there, NCT’s enduring appeal comes directly from its cozy, small-venue feel and the sheer passion of its performers and teachers. A Community and a Pint on Main Street NCT is perfectly situated right on Main Street, placing it in a thriving area that beautifully captures the small-town, community feel that many large shopping complexes try (and fail) to emulate. Being able to combine an evening of hilarious, quick-witted comedy with the variety of local shops and dining options available on this street is a big part of what makes NCT such a special destination. The theater's atmosphere is warm, supportive, and unpretentious. The recent remodel and the addition of the beer and wine bar, "The Sacred Pint," is a brilliant touch, making the whole experience feel like hanging out in a delightful community hub. It's the perfect place to grab a drink, relax, and enjoy some great comedy. It’s definitely worth a revisit just to check out the new setup! The Perfect Introduction to Improv For anyone new to improv, NCT is the absolute best starting point. The teachers and staff are wonderfully passionate, supportive, and engaging. They create an environment that makes taking that first step onto the stage feel safe and exciting. Their classes provided a highly enjoyable and accessible introduction to the core values of improv: being present, supporting your scene partners, and not being afraid to fail. You can truly see how much they love what they do, and that energy is contagious. I have immense respect for the entire NCT community for continuing to do their thing and fostering such a positive space for new and experienced improvisers alike. The best theater for learning improv, making friends, and seeing shows! Such a great way to step outside of your comfort zone, or just come laugh it all out. Whether you want to sharpen your brain or just come enjoy some live comedy, this is the local spot for you.

My family had such a great time. Watching the players come up with witty and funny lines is amazing to see. They all look like they are enjoying themselves so much so it makes it even more entertaining for the audience. The venue is homey and intimate and everyone was very welcoming. The first show of the night is family-friendly and even though my son didn't get all the references, he still enjoyed the show and had a good time. My husband laughed harder than I've heard in a long time and talked about the show the whole ride home. We definitely recommend for a date night family, outing or any reason you have for getting out and having a good time.
