I am a big believer that you get what you pay for, which is why I had high expectations for this place. Sadly, I was very underwhelmed. While the outside of the resort is beautiful, the rooms were mediocre at best. The bathroom is big & spacious, & has a huge soak in tub, but water leaks around the faucet of the tub to the point it made a puddle of water that dripped to the floor. The shower is beautiful & spacious, but the water barely got above lukewarm temperature. The walls must be paper thin because we could hear everything the people on the other side of the room said. Literally, their entire conversation word for word. The resort staff were very attentive & friendly when we were outside & would engage us in conversation & I would often see them attending to guest who looked lost, so I appreciated that. The pools & hot tubs are very nice. While I did not swim, I think it’s important to note the pools are heated & lit up at night. I believed there are 3 different pools & one is adult only & they close at 10 pm. There is plenty of seating to lounge around the pool if that’s something you like to do. I also found the food to be pretty mediocre as well. I ordered my food well done & it came out looking pink. Overall, the place is nice but not for the price they charge.

We had a wonderful time here. We stayed for just under a week. The resort hosted some groups while we were there, but the campus was big enough that we never felt like it was crowded or loud. They have an 18+ pool which is nice. The staff was incredible. Everyone was very friendly and super helpful. We will return.

Overall, my stay was fine. The first night there were a few bugs in my room, but I took care of them and didn’t see any after that. The bathtub had a consistent drip, which didn’t bother me much but did feel like a waste of water. I self-parked, and retrieving my car was easy at $30 per day. The pools were heated, which was a nice touch, and there was plenty of seating around both the pools and common areas. The restaurant consistently provided excellent service. I ordered a steak to share, and the peppercorn sauce was outstanding, demi-glace was questionable perhaps it was just molasses. The rooms were very large and open, with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. My room also had a patio, which I appreciated. All in all, it’s a really nice property with great service throughout. That said, I wouldn’t personally choose it for a vacation stay — I was here for work. With rooms typically priced around $600 per night, I’m not entirely sure what demographic the hotel is targeting. It’s not quite luxury, but it’s also far above a 2-star experience.

We had an amazing stay at the Montelucia. We were 6 adults and 2 two year olds. From the minute we arrived until departure we enjoyed every associate and every interaction. Chris was our bellman and he made the cart ride such a joy for the kiddos! We had three delicious meals over the weekend. Rae at Centro was fantastic -- Ivanna, poolside was super helpful with making it so easy to feed the two year olds. Jonathan at Prado was really great. He had suggestions for appetizers and then we all had a fantastic dinner! Carlos at the pool went above and beyond to make our little group feel like family - he said hello throughout the weekend, waved if he saw us and had a great visit with my husband as we were finishing up lunch. And thank you Avery for your kindness. We can't wait to come back!!

Excellent stay! This hotel and resort was beautiful! The grounds and views were spectacular. The patios are so nice to sit out and relax on. Meticulously maintained landscaping. The Prado restaurant was so so good! Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely return.
