Peak View Winter Recreation Area in the Coconino National Forest provides access to trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing with stunning views of the San Francisco Peaks. The area is maintained by the Forest Service and offers a peaceful alternative to busier snow play areas. Free parking and trail access make it an affordable winter outing.

A blink and you miss it turn off the Highway, but it is worth it if you want a quick place to park and get the forest experience. There are trails and bathrooms (no water) and it’s easy to make a quick trek away from the sounds of the highway and get lost in the scenery. This spot is accessible for kids and a great place to stop for a picnic (tables on site).

Beutiful place to take the kids to play in the snow, it's not good for sledding though. Parking is super limited but for the price of free 30, it's well worth the drive.

We arrived at 9am and parking was okay, by the time we were leaving at 11 it was absolutely packed. Lots of space for everyone to play though and the snow was freshly fallen so it was clean and soft lol we even managed to make a snowman.

Nice place to play with snow 🌨️, good to go with family and kids, small parking but we was Lucky to get a good spot.
