If I lived in Tuscon this would be my happy place! OMG The planes. The PLANES ✈️ you name it they have it. Fighters. Bombers. Commercial jets. Trainers. Transport planes. Medevac planes. Choppers. I was like a kid on Christmas drooling at all the planes. Added bonus, if you drive like 5 miles east of the museum you can catch a glimpse at the “boneyard” (IYKYK 😉). If I could I’d probably be here every weekend. Can’t buy advanced tickets but that’s fine, even on a Sat it wasn’t so packed that we had to wait very long. If you want to visit the whole thing, leave yourself time to explore the hangars. Start with the trolley tour to get the lay of the land and then just wander. The B17 hangar is especially impressive.

What an impressive place! I was blown away by the size of the museum and the huge collection of different aircraft, especially considering it’s a private museum. It was truly fascinating. If you can, take a private tour — it makes the experience even richer. And don’t miss the simulator room! Flying those three aircraft simulators was a highlight of our visit!

We went to the Pima Air Museum for our son's birthday and we were there for 3 hours and I don't think we saw everything cause it is that big! It was so much fun seeing all of the planes, helicopters other vehicles. They had a new exhibit with the B-17 that had amazing volunteers. One was a 91 year old colonel who was so sweet to our son. He sent for us when we had gone upstairs. We came back down (reported for duty) and he gave our son a couple of patches for his birthday. It was so sweet! He told us that when he was 7, that's when he decided he wanted to become a pilot and it was heart-felt since it was our son's 7th birthday. Even the gifts in the gift shop are really high quality. 10/10 experience and we will be back!

Amazing museum with an incredible variety of aircraft. The B-17 building is an added bonus, almost a separate museum within the Pima grounds. So much to see. Around 60% of the aircraft are outdoors (just my guess). You can easily spend 4+ hours here. There is a "cafe" on the premises with a limited menu, but the lines/wait can be long-ish. Be aware that there is a "last admission time" daily (closes at 5pm, but last admission is at 3pm).

This place is amazing. Make sure you give yourself enough time to see everything. Lots of it is outside too, so plan on going in the morning maybe to see the outside stuff. We gave ourselves 3 hours and it was not even close to enough time. Really amazing. We were really impressed and in some cases in awe of what we were seeing. I would recommend this place for anyone even remotely interested in planes or historic aircraft.
