Recently made the trip to visit the Air and Space Museum, and it was absolutely worth it. They have many of the aircraft I’m especially interested in, and they definitely didn’t disappoint. There’s a wide variety of planes on display, ranging from smaller aircraft to very large ones, with some housed indoors and many more displayed outdoors. The ticket was $29 and includes two visits within 30 days, which I thought was a solid value. They also offer a guided tram tour that lasts about 45 minutes, giving a good overview of the outdoor collection without having to walk the entire grounds right away (need a ticket). After the tour, we explored on foot and were able to get up close to a lot of historical and unique aircraft. Condition-wise, it’s a bit of a mix: some planes are in great shape and clearly well maintained, while others are rougher and show their age. Quite a few have weather protection covers on them, which is understandable but does mean you can’t always see inside as much as you might like. Still, there’s plenty to look at, and the sheer number and variety of aircraft make it a fascinating place to wander. Overall, it’s a great place to visit if you’re in the area, especially if you’re into aviation or history. Between the reasonable ticket that allows two visits, the tram tour, and the impressive collection, I’d definitely recommend checking it out.

We had been here several years ago and wanted to visit again. The museum is very well run and full of amazing displays and information. We learn something new each time we visit. The employees and volunteers are great. They are professional and enthusiastic. The facility and restrooms are clean. They have a grill on the premises and decent food with a good selection. We paid extra to take a shuttle to view the outdoor exhibits. It was worth the extra $10.00 to be on the covered shuttle on such a sunny hot day. We highly recommend the Pima Air and Space Museum and are grateful for Count Ferdinand von Galen who as a philanthropist, preserved and expanded the museum's legacy.

Top notch visit. So much has changed since my last visit in early 2000's. So many more interior displays to look at mostly fully restored examples of many of my favorite airframes. Inventive displays where you can walk up to, under and all around important aircraft, too numerous to mention. I will highlight the Blackbird, the Fortress, the Warthog, the Peacemaker, Liberator....it is fantastic. My father maintained the BUFF's rear .50's while at Guam in the last 60's so the cut away section really was impactful for me. I want to emphasize also the 380th separate museum within the grounds as really well done and you are able to peer inside the 17 in several spots.

Wow! What a large museum full of the most places I've ever seen in one place. There's a wife variety of different aircrafts, from Air Force ones, to Jets from multiple countries, to massive cargo planes and WWII aircraft. The tram tour was very worth it to see and learn a lot without walking a few miles in the heat. Then the hangars were a good overview. Don't forget to check out the other museum in the middle. We spent about 2.5-3 hours there but my partner's dad could have spent several more hours reading about every plane.

This place is an amazing place to take the family. There is a tram that I would highly recommend taking. Taking the tram, you will see a wide range of different aircraft spanning from the 1930's through the 2010's. There are also many hangers within the facility that have even more aircraft and equipment available to see up close. Come to Pima Air & Space Museum, you will be intrigued garranteed.
