The state park is outstanding with knowledge staff and volunteers. The hiking trails are well marked and have maps posted at forks. We attended Ranger free talk on archeological of area and then took short information walk. We enjoyed the picnic area with fantastic views of many red rock formations. Outstanding park! We will go again.

This is a must-visit spot in Sedona, especially if you enjoy hiking. There’s a great network of well-maintained trails with interconnected loops, many of which run alongside the beautiful Oak Creek. The $10 fee is well worth it — the trails are quieter than much of Sedona and clearly well cared for. You’ll also spot plenty of wildlife, which is why dogs aren’t allowed on the trails (worth noting before you go). On top of that, you’re treated to some stunning views of Sedona’s iconic red rocks.

Very pretty park! Not a ton of trails—only about 5 miles total—but they're all very easy and well-maintained. The entrance fee is maybe a little steep ($10 per person), so make sure you make the most of your time and spend a while here.

Came here for hikes twice with my wife. Really love how secluded it was as you hike outward. The views are truly spectacular as you can see a lot of the main Red Rock formations from here. Trail was well maintained and relatively bug free. We did see some private property along the way but generally well marked. If you are into moderate hikes with great scenery then this is definitely the right place. Just be sure to bring a few bottles of water.
