The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain

Aside from this resort being in a beautiful location, it truly has exceptional service. My husband and I came here for a staycation getaway and it fully encompassed exactly what that looks like in our minds. We took the mixology class at Ignite with Jaime and he was equally as personable as he was knowledgeable about the backstory and process of making incredible cocktails. We found ourselves back at Ignite for dinner and watched the bartenders working an insane dinner service. I could not be more serious when I say that it was nothing short of mesmerizing. In the midst of a dinner rush both Christian and Maya took such great care of us as they handled the stress of table and bar cocktail service. Both so professional, personable, and speedy - they made an insanely difficult job look so easy. Overall, if you choose to stay at this Ritz location, you will be nothing short of satisfied. Thank you so much to the staff who made our stay feel comfortable, relaxed, and exciting. We appreciate all of your efforts in making us guests feel like family!!!

What a beautiful property, and amazing surroundings! It’s in a quiet area surrounded by a magnificent landscape, trails and mountains. The pools are amazing we spent our time in the heated one, all have amazing views! Meals were excellent, and service from all we encountered was top notch. A great place for a getaway, in a serene environment! It was so much better than a recent stay at the Canyon Ranch…

An exceptionally family-friendly resort that manages to balance high-energy activities with a quiet, removed atmosphere. Located on a vast, serene plot of land, the property feels like a true escape from the bustle of the city. Family Fun & Vibe The outdoor amenities are a highlight here, particularly the pool area. The water slide is a major draw for families; seeing so many kids enjoying themselves added a lively energy to the daytime. Despite the family-friendly vibe, the resort is so expansive that it never feels overcrowded. During the winter, the serenity is even more pronounced. I particularly enjoyed the live music in the lobby during cocktail hours—it creates a very sophisticated evening ambiance. Accommodations & Dining My room featured an outdoor fireplace, which was a fantastic addition for the chilly desert nights. It’s the kind of detail that makes a stay feel truly high-end. When it comes to dining, the breakfast buffet was the real winner. It offered a variety and quality of options that you typically only see in high-end Asian luxury hotels, which is a rare find in the US. While the other dining options were decent, they didn't necessarily stand out as much as the morning spread. Service & Activities The resort offers a wide range of scheduled on-site activities that make it easy to stay immersed in the desert landscape. However, I did experience a bottleneck at the end of my stay. Despite giving the valet team a heads-up well before my checkout, I still ended up waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes for my car. Verdict This is a beautiful, well-maintained property that offers a great mix of wellness and family fun. For those interested in the lifestyle here, they even have real estate exhibits near the lobby. Aside from the slow valet service, it was a very restorative winter retreat.

I stayed here with my husband for 8 nights and so we were able to get familiar with the property and the employees. It is located in a remote area, but that is part of its charm. They are currently selling lots/building homes around it, so I am feeling fortunate that I was able to experience this area now. The location to hiking and spectacular mountain views are top notch. The main building, pool, and main floor restaurant views are also top notch. Our dinners there were good to very good. Service well trained, tried to make small talk and asked open ended questions. The pool staff were the stars! They were vibrant, fun, very attentive and helpful. The night sky is simply amazing and one of my favorite memories is when we placed bocce ball after dinner outside in their citrus grove under the stars. The room was very nice with nice amenities, but like another post mentioned, the room was VERY noisy. I think it was coming from the refrigerator? We should have asked for a different room, but we liked the location of our room. Overall it felt like a 4.5 star experience. We did leave disappointed when they didn’t allow for a late check out on a Monday. Just asked for a few hours. That did leave a bad taste in my mouth and so probably won’t be going back.

Beautiful scenery on the way here. The staff were mostly young kids in their 20s but courteous and professional. Room was spacious with a beautiful mountain view. Bed was comfy for 2 nights I stayed. There was a small mix-up on the welcome card, which was quickly corrected. I learned a lot and had fun looking for scorpions on the night hike — a must-do experience. Turndown service was wonderful as usual. I left feeling peaceful and happy after my stay. Ritz Dove Mountain is great for families, couples and solo visitors. I’m already planning to return and highly recommend this place.
