The goldmine and dynamite trails are nice hikes! The dynamite trail is easier and less steep, for the first few miles at least and offers some good mountain views. The goldmine trail is challenging, and steep but has serene views and runs through a dry wash and past the gravesite of two miners. An easy drive from the mesa/ gilbert area. Would definately recomend!

I love this park because it feels peaceful and wide open, with trails that are great for all skill levels. The desert views and mountain backdrops help me unwind and reset. It’s especially beautiful in the early morning or at sunset.

Many miles of well maintained trails, and a nice nature center/gift shop for a regional park, with a few desert animals, local floral and fauna guides, and drinks and snacks. The restrooms are well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The San Tan Mountains are not the most dramatic landscape in the area, but it is very representative of the Sonoran Desert, and there are many beautiful views. For trails that are wide, well maintained, and appropriate for all ages, this park is fantastic. I would definitely call this a must-visit park for San Tan Valley residents.

Love the multi-use trails. Great location to get in an easy nature stroll or long workout. As with the other mountain ranges, you'll see great views. Plenty of parking with quick access to trail heads.

Great place to hike. Good place for MTB, especially beginners or people that want to get back into it after some time off.
