Scottsdale Air Heating & Cooling

Scottsdale Air installed a new whole home unit for me in March 2022. The salesman was great and the installation went well. The labor on the installation was warranted. This past December, the unit failed for my tenant and lost all refrigerant. Out of caution, I had someone from another company out to diagnose it, the issue was found almost immediately. I then called out Scottsdale Air, their guy didn’t agree with the original diagnosis despite video evidence that was clear as day. Not surprisingly, he wanted $2400 just to diagnose it. Rip apart the whole unit. Weird. I called a 3rd guy, and he found the issue within 5 minutes with no leads. Both 1st and 3rd companies chalked it up to an installation mistake. I had the 3rd company proceed with the repair, for two reasons, my tenant had already missed several hours at work to accommodate and I’d lost confidence in the honesty of Scottsdale Air. They charged ~$900 for the repair and replacing all refrigerant lost. Today, I spoke with a manager, William, to see how I can be remunerated for this under their labor warranty. He talked in circles to essentially say they don’t stand by it. I well understand companies will do anything to save a dime and make a dollar off a customer now, but at that rate, better not to offer a false warranty with a shiny certificate. My rating only remains so high as I had a very agreeable experience with the install back in 2022. That said, might be better to pay a pinch more for an install from a smaller company who is more honest.

Service technicians Hector and James were courteous, professional, and respectful throughout the visit. During their inspection and maintenance, they identified that one of our compressors is approaching end of life and clearly walked me through the available options, which I’m currently considering. They were very thorough with both our A/C units and air handlers, and I truly appreciated the time they took to answer my questions. Scottsdale Air’s maintenance membership has been money well spent, and I’m very happy with the service overall.

I had my unit installed 12/24. From the salesman that did a thorough pre inspection to the install team and the attic insulation team. They all did an amazing job. They left the area they worked clean and neat. The unit is working without any issues. Ricky came and repaired the access to my attic shortly after the install very great repair work he did. The paint was scratched but he replaced the and painted the entire opening. Hector came out to do maintenance he is a great tech with a great personality. every employee I spoke with or met has a welcoming personality, great company to have replaced and maintain my hvac unit. I greatly appreciate every one of the employees for making me feel comfortable with such an expensive project.

Scottsdale Air is competent and trustworthy. We bought a Lennox 4 ton rooftop heat pump 9.5 years ago. Great install and good service. Recommend!

Tech Hector and intern Jake were professional, knowledgeable, went above and beyond to explain the system, what was needed. Have used Scottsdale Air for years, these young men in their employ were exceptional.
