Hi
I’ve lived in Scottsdale for years and I can’t believe how loud the stadium has gotten. The concerts start around 7 and it’s set to go on till almost 11 at night with bass that carries for miles. It shakes the windows and keeps my kids awake. We called to complain and both the police and the stadium said they have a permit, like that somehow makes it fine to bother entire neighborhoods. It’s sad to see the city care more about money and events than the people who actually live and pay taxes here. We just want some peace and quiet in our own homes.

As a long-time Scottsdale resident, I’m deeply disappointed in how the city has handled noise from events at Scottsdale Stadium. The music and bass from these concerts carry for miles, often running from 7 PM onwards, creating a disturbance well beyond what should be acceptable in a residential community. Even with doors and windows closed, the low-frequency vibration can be felt throughout nearby homes. When residents call to raise concerns, both the stadium and local police respond that “they have a permit,” as though that excuses the impact on thousands of people who live nearby. A permit should never override residents’ right to peace and quiet in their own homes. It’s unfortunate that the City of Scottsdale appears to prioritize event revenue and entertainment over the comfort and well-being of the very citizens who make this city what it is. I strongly urge city officials to revisit how these events are approved and monitored.

so like i live somewhere in scottsdale and tonight the music from scottsdale stadium was crazy loud. we called the stadium and they just said yeah we got a permit. we called the non-emergency police and they said well they got a permit too. but this is still breaking the city noise rules. chapter 19 article ii of the scottsdale city code says businesses that do music and serve alcohol can’t make noise that messes with neighborhoods. the bass was so loud it could be heard all over and its really annoying. city hall needs to do something instead of just letting money and permits let people break the law.

I am beyond frustrated with the City of Scottsdale for prioritizing live entertainment venues over the residents who actually live here. The City allows businesses to pay large sums for permits to hold events that blast music and low-frequency bass far beyond legal sound limits, creating a serious noise disturbance for me, my neighbors, and the entire community. The amplified sound from venues like Scottsdale Stadium, which also serve alcohol, can be heard and felt over half a mile away, shaking walls and furniture in homes. This is a clear violation of Chapter 19, Article II of the Scottsdale City Code (Special Noise Violations Ordinance), which limits amplified sound from businesses and entertainment venues in or near residential districts so that it does not disturb the peace, comfort, or repose of any neighborhood. Yet City Hall continues to approve permits without ensuring compliance or mitigation, prioritizing revenue over the well-being of residents. I speak for everyone in my neighborhood, at least here at Denim Apartments: we deserve to live without having our homes vibrated by bass-heavy concerts and events. City Hall should enforce its own noise ordinances, require sound mitigation, and protect residents instead of enabling legal violations in the name of live entertainment and permits. This disregard for community quality of life is unacceptable.

This city doesn’t care about you or me. Why is the Scottsdale Stadium blasting terrible music, well over the allotted noise ordinances? Why did the City of Scottsdale allow residents to be disturbed in their own home? I am very disappointed with the actions of not only Scottsdale City Hall but also Scottsdale Stadium.
