Smokey Mo's BBQ

I will preface this by saying I am a huge meat snob as well as a BBQ and smoking enthusiast, so my opinion is more critical than most people would be. I will also say that I left very satisfied and pleasantly full. A few thoughts on the food. I got the 2 person combo that includes 4 meats, 4 sides and 2 drinks and was very reasonably priced and more than enough food for 2 people. We got the brisket, hot links, pulled pork and turkey. They do also smother their bbq in sauce unless you specify otherwise which is horrifying. Thankfully they asked me and I heartily declined the BBQ sauce bath. The brisket was tasty, tender and definitely did NOT need any bbq sauce to enjoy it. The turkey also was cooked well and tender and juicy. The pulled pork lacked flavor and was dry. Didn't even eat that. The sides were beans, onion ring, potato salad and cornbread. The rings were over cooked and not great. The beans were pretty good but needed a little more flavor, the potato salad was very tasty as was the cornbread. The bbq sauce the offered on the side tasted heavily of ketchup which I also dislike. Overall not a bad place although did have lots of cheifs decor which as a niners fan I didn't like but didn't consider that in my review 😅

Food 100%, Menu 100%, Pricing 100%, Quality 1000%! It is my preferred, go-to BBQ place! You get great portions for the quality and price of the food. They have a great selection on their menu from by the pound, combos and burgers as well as sides. Already thinking about going back for that brisket!

I ordered the Brisket Sandwich combo with collard greens as my side and added an extra side of cornbread. The cornbread is really good, it's sweet and savory and compliments the brisket sauce nicely. The Brisket was really the star of the show, super tender meat, I had a hard time keeping my sandwich together. The inside dining area is a little small but they have larger outdoor seating area to accomodate large parties. My order was maybe $20 even with my add ons. I highly reccomend this spot, this is a Tucson gem for sure.

Just ordered the 2 meat and 2 side got brisket and ribs. Brisket came with nothing but A fat slob no flavor the ribs were undercooked with a lot of fat as well. Mac and cheese was super wet??? Was more soup consistency and onion rings were super overcooked more like burnt just save ur money and go else where nothing to mention this was over $50!! We got 2

Very friendly staff. Excellent food best sweet tea in Az. Prices are good not overpriced. Small eating area inside with plenty of room outside.
