The team at Sun Devil Auto were fantastic. They were able to identify the problem, and fix it in a reasonable amount of time. The communication was great and I really appreciated that the estimate was sent with photos and details of their findings so I could easily understand what fixes were recommended and why. The whole process was smooth and straightforward. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional service at a reasonable price.

Sadly have to give this alert. Sun Devil has deceptive pricing. When I first called them, they sounded reasonable. At check in, it was clear the fees for the repair would be about 15% more than first discussed on the phone. I decided to move forward- so that's on me. The real surprise came at check out, and it's the reason for this one star review. At check out, I was charged a never disclosed charge. The charge is listed as "Shop Supplies" on the receipt- and it was $39.00- nearly 7% more than amount quoted. This is clearly BS. I asked the service rep three times to explain, then finally moved on and paid so I could take my car and leave. Replacing a part should be the part and labor. It screws in so what kind of supplies went into it. Maybe 2 bucks worth of windshield fluid. The rest is a scam. So- if you don't mind paying scam fees, this is your place. But if you want honesty, go somewhere else. Especially since once you hand them the keys, everything they do is out of your control. I can only imagine what the fees would have been if they were doing something more complex!!! This was simple part swap out. What if you need a new transmission??? They'll clean out your bank account.

Mark was very helpful! He navigated me in the right direction to make my repairs more affordable and he did so with a smile! My family just moved to the area from Denver and we will not be going anywhere but sun devil auto for our vehicles! Highly recommend

We bring all of our cars here because I think you can actually trust this business not to try to take advantage of you. Recently got a quote for husband’s car (1 repair and lots of maintenance) and Sun Devil inspected the car and said almost all of the “issues” are in fact, NOT necessary. They saved us over $6000! No joke. I am telling everyone how much I appreciate these honest people! Not to mention how stellar their customer service is, how transparent they are with inspections and estimates and they are FAST!

I brought my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Sun Devil Auto in Scottsdale for an oil cooler replacement in November 2024 after oil and coolant leaks. I paid about $1,500 for that repair. After the work, the vehicle continued to leak oil. Their own paperwork in July 2025 states “oil leaks prior to service” and they never resolved it. I then had to take the Jeep to other shops trying to figure out why it was still leaking. In January 2026, Sun Devil finally acknowledged that the oil cooler they installed was still leaking and replaced it again under warranty. At the same time, they said the engine now also has a rear main seal leak. Immediately after picking the Jeep up from the warranty repair, it began leaking coolant behind the front passenger tire, which did not exist before their work. This is an area that is disturbed during an oil cooler replacement, indicating another workmanship issue. I’ve spent thousands of dollars and months going back and forth between shops for the same unresolved problem. Instead of owning the situation, I was told by the manager that I should “sell the vehicle” rather than having it properly repaired. I would not recommend this shop for major engine work. My experience has been repeated leaks, incomplete repairs, and having to chase down problems that should have been fixed the first time.
