I will be using this sun devil.Auto location going forward. They have great customer service, it only took 45 min for them to change our oil, replace windshield wiper and give us a comprehensive list of what the needs for our vehicle. I can’t say enough good things about this auto shop! As a young single woman, finding a place where I feel safe, respected, and never talked down to is incredibly important—and this team delivers every time. Their attention to detail is amazing, and they always take the time to explain what’s going on with my car in a way that feels honest and helpful, not overwhelming. They’re quick without ever cutting corners, and every visit is met with friendly faces and genuinely great service. I brought 2018 ford focus st into Sun Devil for a clutch replacement. And come out with broken windshield wiper motors. The person I was speaking with informed me that the motors were already broken and they did their best to be able to fix them. The vehicle has never had this service performed, so no need to ever remove the motors or anything even remotely close to removed. He then informed me that the repair was going to be $500.00 and that they were going to knock off half of the labor. Of course you would knock off half the labor, if your shop was responsible! Needless to say, I will not take my business and hard earned money back to Sun Devil!

Sun Devil Automotive truly achieved the impossible for me. My vehicle needed a power steering pump that GM has officially discontinued, and every other shop told me it couldn’t be sourced or repaired. Sun Devil Automotive didn’t stop there. They went the extra mile, sent the original pump out to be professionally rebuilt, coordinated everything, and got my vehicle back on the road when it honestly seemed impossible. This wasn’t a simple parts swap — it took persistence, problem-solving, and real mechanical expertise. Their communication was solid throughout the process, they were upfront about challenges, and they followed through. In an era where many shops just say “it can’t be done,” Sun Devil Automotive proved they’re willing to do the hard work to find solutions. If you have a difficult repair, discontinued parts, or a vehicle other shops have given up on, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.

I've been going here for a while and no longer will go here. They charged me an arm and 4 legs in 2023 to put in a new catalytic converter. Apparently, I have a forwarded and back cat converter. Tho I was told my cat converter was changed out. Apparently they only did the forward part of it (they never said anything about it being a forward and back). Because they never changed out the whole cat converter like I thought they did, the piping between the two areas became so clogged no air was flowing at all. My check engine light has come on repeatedly over the past couple years and always the code for the catalytic converter. They didn't check what the problem really was defaulting to the quickest most expensive fix instead of actually finding out the problem. Several times I went in and was told that they just turned off the "check engine" light. Two weeks ago they said it would cost $4000 to fix my car and do an oil change. I went to another place (because I can't afford $4k) and they charged me $278 which fixed the problem and included the full synthetic oil change. Now I have to wonder how many other expensive fixes I could have gotten at a more reasonable price by going somewhere else before now. They just want to charge you a lot till you have to open a credit account with them so they can continue to charge you a lot. Their workers in the bays seem nice enough. Wayne need to learn customer service skills... he's probably good at business (non customer related) but is extremely standoffish to the point where whenever I went in I told them to call my husband and talk to him when the car is done. They definitely treat females differently than males at this store...which is insulting. **I do not recommend the store at all** I will miss Stanley, the shop dog. He's a sweetie!
